2010 is finally coming to an end soon... Time for me to look back and give 2010 a wrap up. 2010 has left me with many thoughts and I really hope that 2011 will be an even better year ahead...
Work...
Work has been hectic for the whole of this year. I hardly have a chance to really breathe at work throughout the year. The moment I have slightly little more time for myself to take a breather, work starts to pour in again. :( It is probably quite lucky that we managed to hire someone to help me out. She is not perfect, but she is young and I believe, can be guide and coach to be a better help.
I have probably learnt more things at work in 2010 than I ever had to or get the chance to be exposed to if I stay on in this job if my bosses did not leave. I had learnt to fend for myself, defend my position, argue with people about what works and what don't, see how ridiculous some people can be, work my way around to get things done and see the true colors in some people. It was also great that I managed to get more exposure at work by meeting customers and etc. It was a whole new experience that if my bosses did not leave, I probably won't get exposed to so soon. In a way, the leaving of my bosses are both a plus and minus for me. It sort of accelerated my progress and I have to learn to survive.
I guess I can say that I am a survivor at work now...
Study...
I have finally finished my Uni studies after 2 years. It was definitely not easy for me to juggle both my work, travel and studies at the same time especially when I had been much busier at work this year compared to previous years. My results showed how bad it was for me. :P It was a relief to me when I received my results as I thought I will need to "da bao" one of the modules. Phew~
I am still contemplating about the job switch thingy. I have started looking out for jobs but not actively. I may or may not want to switch... Let's see how it goes...
O... crazy me went and signed up for a language course to learn Japanese. It should start in Jan 2011. :P I guess since I suddenly have so much time on hand, I can use it to learn something too. :D
Grow Up...
I hate to say this but I had to tell myself that it is time for me to grow up and not to just trust what people have to say. There are many times when I put trust in my friends, to find that it is all a lie after all. I have to learn that they may no longer be the person whom I used to know. Everyone grows up. It's time for me to grow up and not to put my trust in everyone. I guess this is why some people always say "The only person you can trust is yourself."

I Passed!!!!!!!!!!!!
Omg! Omg!!! I passed all my modules!!!! Yippee!!!! Even though the grades are not fantastic but I passed everything!!!! Wahahaha...
This morning when I checked my results, my most feared module got a PC as the grade. I was like WTF is PC?! I know PA is pass, NN is fail then wtf is PC???!!!! Totally cold sweat lor... I had to call the school and ask before I know PC is Pass with compensation. Whatever it is, it means that I passed!!!! Woohoo!!! This means no more mugging, no more projects, no more late nights struggling to squeeze more things into that tiny weeny brain of mine anymore! I officially graduate liao!!! Wahahaha....
The feeling now can only be descriped by one word, 爽! To think I managed to pass my Business Ethics. I really am the Ultimate Smoke Queen! Hahaha...

Random Updates
I have been feeling too lazy recently to blog nowadays. :P Anyway just some random quick updates...
Exams...
I finished my exams sometime in first week of November. This time round the exams sucks totally. I only have confidence of clearing 1 paper. As for the other 2 papers, there is a high chance that I may have to repeat the module. Sigh... Let's wait until 02 Dec before I know my fate... If I managed to pass all my modules this semester, this means I will graduate liao. If not... when I will graduate will depend on when is those modules being offered... I hope I can pass...
Vietnam...
I went to Hanoi to attend a friend's wedding and came back to Singapore on Tues. It was the first time that I went to Vietnam. Hanoi is a very different place as compared to Singapore. Sort of like China 2 years ago with many many motorcycles on the road. I kind of enjoy my trip to Sapa even though that place is too cold for me... The trip to Sapa was very tiring due to the trekking but I think it was worth it as it allowed me to see things that I would otherwise not get to see. The only unfortunate thing is that I got sick during my trip there. It sucks to fall sick during vacation but I'm just glad that I have more or less recovered.
Ok time to go to bed... I will post some photos if I remember. :P Till next time... :)

Happy 28th
Time come and go so quickly that without actually realising it, I turned 28th today.
It is a pity that I have achieved much in life yet. There's too many things but too little time for me to do all the things that I want.
Hopefully, I will be able to take a break one day, have a look around me and know what I want in life. After all, we only lived once.
Happy 28th to me! I hope life will be even better for me for the rest of the years...

奶茶
Hee... Like I say before, I have always love to drink 奶茶. So this is my review of the 奶茶 that I had drank around in Singapore...
Note huh... I am not an expert in food or drinks review. All these are only my personal opinion. :)
我爱台妹's 珍珠奶茶
I have just tried 我爱台妹's 珍珠奶茶 this evening. Their 珍珠 is quite nice and chewy however, I think it will be perfect if their 奶茶 is more 浓. However, their 奶茶 is still worth a try if you do not want to drink the dilute-till-it-taste-like-water 奶茶 from places like Sweet Talk. The only problem with 我爱台妹 is that there is only 1 outlet in Singapore I think.

Koi Cafe's 珍珠奶茶
If you have been around, you will definitely know about Koi Cafe and it's super duper long queue. How bad is the queue for Koi Cafe? On average, I will have to queue for 15 mins and wait for another 15 mins to get my order. Sigh... Scary queue... I have to get used to the fact of "Where there is good food (drink), there is a queue."
Anyway, I personally prefer Koi Cafe's 珍珠奶茶 over 我爱台妹's. Mostly because Koi has better tea than 我爱台妹. Koi Cafe's 珍珠 is about just as nice as 我爱台妹, only smaller.
蓬莱阁/四季
蓬莱阁 which has changed hands and had its name changed to 四季 still has my favourite 奶茶! The one and only time I tried their 珍珠奶茶, I find that their 珍珠 is not as chewy as I liked. Since then, I have only ordered their 黑砖奶茶. Their 黑砖 is actually coffee jelly, so it helped to impart an additional yummy taste to the 奶茶.
I did notice that the 黑砖奶茶 is not as nice as I remember. I am not sure if this is because of the change of boss. I remembered talking to 蓬莱阁's boss who is a Taiwanese and he insisted on using quality tea for his 奶茶.

If you are looking for quality tea, go try the 黑砖奶茶 at 四季. Otherwise, I think Koi Cafe and 我爱台妹 is not bad also... :)

我爱台妹!
"我爱台妹 台妹爱我 对我来说 林志玲算什么
我爱台妹 台妹爱我 对我来说 侯佩岑算什么"
Hee... I have always love 珍珠奶茶. So I was delighted when my bf brought me to drink 我爱台妹's 珍珠奶茶 today. :D

我爱台妹 is located in Bugis area. I have heard of this shop before but did not have any chance to go there until just now. Basically 我爱台妹 is a small shopfront that sells Taiwanese food, kind of like 士林小吃 that you can find everywhere. The interesting thing about this shop is that the names of the main dishes that they sell are named similar to Taiwanese artists. So you find food names called Selina, Ella, Hebe, 林志零 and 侯佩橙。

Food there taste quite ok. I tried Hebe and Selina and personally, I preferred Hebe which is a Lemon Crispy Chicken Chop. I wanted to try Ella which is Xtra Crispy Chicken Chop but it was already sold out. Next time ba... :D
SD card reader
I can't believe that I am so blur it took me 1yr plus to realise that my netbook comes with a SD card reader... Faint! -_-''''

Wedding Dinner at Mandarin Oriental
I attended my Primary School's classmate's wedding dinner at Mandarin Oriental this evening. This is probably the best wedding dinner that I had been to this year. Great food and great service too!
Wedding dinner is a great place for catching up with old time friends. We did the usual catching up and find out what is happening in each other's life now.
The next wedding dinner is expected to be in June 2011. I will catch up with them there again. In the meantime, there should be a gathering somewhere in between. I hope it will come soon. :)
Pink Ribbon Run...
I went for the Pink Ribbon Run with my bf's friend this morning. It had many many months since I last jogged so obviously I was not in great form today. It ended up becoming Pink Ribbon Run and walk for me instead. :P
I seriously think I need to start to do some work out. Been getting too fat and my excuse for not having time to work out is because of my hectic schedule due to school. Now that I have just finished my last lesson and is waiting for my exams to come, I should be able to find sometime to do some workout ba... I really need to do something about my weight.. Sigh...

Ironic...
I find it ironic that it is harder to keep in contact with my friends when they are in Singapore as compared to when they are overseas... What went wrong?

Biting my tongue
I told myself that I have to learn to bite my tongue. I have to learn not to comment too much when it comes to certain things concerning some of my friends. Somethings it really does not help to comment too much. People will just find that you are a kpo. If that is the case, I might as well bite my tongue and not say anything.
My bf told me that he asked me why am I so concern about this thing? Maybe because I feel left out ba, maybe because I was supposed to be involved in this and yet they just suddenly exclude me. It happened without much warning, when I least expect it. It also made me wonder if it was something that I had done or said that made them not include me in this anymore. Whatever it is, it had already happened. I have also decided to just be a bystander and not comment too much when things crop up. Whatever I said will not make a difference anyway...

Changes in work...
There are to be going to be a very big change at my work place. There is some sort of Organisational restructure because some people left the company. At the some time, some people will be promoted, relocated and etc. I have a new boss to report to and my functional reporting boss is the Indian colleague that I had some problem with. That will not be a good thing. :S
The workflow at my side is kind of messy ever since my bosses had left so there will be a lot of things that we need to sort out. There are new things that they will require us to cover, some of which is my boss boss think is without reason. I don't know... I will just do what I can...
I am still thinking if I should change a job after I get my degree. There are pros and cons to it.
Pros: I have very good opportunity to grow and develop in my current job. After all, I am the most experienced person in the Asia technical team for my division right now. Even though I do not know everything, I still know enough of my work to be able to contribute. Sometimes experience is really more valuable than everything else.
Cons: I am honestly abit bored of doing the same thing for the past 6+ years. Be it that I am having more responsibility to do things, it still boils down to doing the same things. However, if I change my job, I will have to accept a much lower salary than what I am getting now. After all, a fresh graduate in marketing will never be able to get as high salary as what I am drawing now. In fact, I think I will probably draw a salary that I drew when I first started work. It is just very hard to accept getting such a low pay after so many years.. Sigh...
I have been thinking about this for a very long time. As my final exams for my degree is approaching, I guess it is really time for me to think about this and at the same time look out for other job offers. I really should not drag any further...

Back!
I have been to Japan and back! This trip was a super tiring one. I guessed I spent 80% of my time travelling on board trains, Shinkansen, taxis or cars, 5% on meals, 5% on meeting customers, 9% on sleep and 1% on shopping.
We saw Mt Fuji while on our way to visit a customer. We were lucky as we managed to see Mt. Fuji very nice and clear and magnificent. The clouds covered it after we left the customer's place.

I bought ALOT of stuff back to Singapore but sadly none of them is for me. :( I have decided not to help ANYONE buy anything next time. It is just super depressing to be helping everyone get things that they want but not managed to get anything for yourself. :(
Food stuff in Japan is VERY expensive. I gathered that I must have spend like more than $300 on food at the DFS. Don't ask me how I managed to lug them all back to Singapore because I really have no idea how I did that.

3 bags of food stuff all bought at Kansai Airport
As I have a test on Monday so I did not extend my trip in Japan this time round. Sigh... As much as it is great that I can go Japan on company expense, I guess I will rather pay for my own expense and go there on a holiday myself next time. Being on a holiday and business trip is just too different.

Travel for work...
I am now waiting to board the plane to Tokyo! I have been travelling quite a lot for work this year. One trip after another, none of it was expected. I went to ShenZhen for a tradeshow at the end of May, Pune India for work at the end of June, Shanghai for work and training in mid August and this time Japan to meet customers.
Everyone have been asking me why am I travelling so much this year. I honestly have no idea. I guess it is a good change instead of staying in the lab all day long. The only problem is that it is disrupting my schedule a lot too. Anyway I guess this is probably the last time I will travel for work for this year. Till next year~! :D

Everlater
I recently found a new iPhone app called Everlater. It is a free travel blog that allows people to "update your trip journal while on the go". It works offline too so it's perfect for me to use when I travel since I usually don't like to incur data charges when I travel. Data charges will be too expensive. :P
I tried out this app when I was in Shanghai. Kind of like it. So you will probably see many back posts of things that I wrote when I was in Shanghai. :)

Bye Shanghai...
This trip to Shanghai is kind of rush for me. I barely have time to explore Shanghai. In a way, I guess I lost some of the excitement to explore the place as I had been there 2 years ago. The only difference this time round is probably that I have friends together with me for this trip. So it ended up like a trip where they explore and I tag along. :P The only new place that I went in Shanghai this time round is probably the factory outlets. Not that they have anything interesting there. No, I did not get off with any purchase at all. Sigh...
I guess another unfortunate thing is that I have an assignment to submit on Wednesday while I am away in Shanghai. As I did not manage to finish it before I left for Shanghai, I had no choice but to bring my stuff to Shanghai to continue.
However, I did managed to meet up with a primary school friend of mine for dinner while I was in Shanghai. It was nice catching up with a friend when you both are so far away from home.
I did went back to Yuyuan area again this time round. I did not take any photos though since my camera had its field day many years again. Too tired, hot and lazy to take any more photos anymore. I bought some souvenirs to bring home from the shops nearby Yuyuan. I managed to get a bottle of Absolut 72 变 home too. It was suay that I found out it was being sold in DFS after I bought it from the departmental store so this means I ended up paying more that I should have. The only consolation is that the Absolut 72 变 that I bought from the departmental store comes with a neck tag. :D
For some reason even though I did not shop alot this time round, I still ended up having to buy another luggage to bring my stuff home. One thing wonderful about taking SQ. They never bat an eyelid when I exceeded my luggage limit. Hee... Yes, I got home with a 33kg luggage. :P I should really learn to keep within my luggage limit...
Random in Shanghai
Bargaining
I overheard the ABC telling another lady during breakfast, "Are you kidding? Half the fun is with the bargaining!"Movies
Movie tickets is super expensive in Shanghai! It cost anything from RMB80 to RMB150 just to watch a movie. That's like SGD16 to SGD30!
My friend wanted to watch a movie there and I told him that my only worry is to go in and watch an English movie and end up hear the Ang Mos speak Mandarin.

World Expo 2010
We spent the whole day at the World Expo. The weather today is TOO hot! Can you imagine that it actually went up to 39 degree Celsius???!!! I, for one, seldom put sunblock on myself. I think this is probably the first time in my life where I actually religiously slap sunblock onto my body just to protect myself from the vicious sun. I wore a hat to the Expo hoping to block out some sun but apparently that is not enough. In the end, I had to go and buy an umbrella to save myself.
World Expo is very interesting. There's a lot of things to see. We did not go to all the Country Pavilions. Instead, we went to the smaller pavilions where there are less people. We walked quite alot. Totally 累垮了!
We managed to visit Singapore Pavilion. I guess the only reason why we visited Singapore Pavilion was probably because we do not have to queue as we are Singaporeans. They allow Singaporeans to enter the Pavilion without queuing as long as you show them your NRIC or passport. :P Singapore Pavilion is not very interesting but it is still nice to be able to visit your home country's Pavilion.
Singapore Pavilion
I retreated at 7.30pm after we visited Singapore Pavilion. Left YT & XZ at the World Expo. I still need to work on my individual assignment later. Sian!!!

Shanghai - Day 1
Feeling so tired now after walking ard for half the day!
I am supposed to be in Shanghai for business for the whole week. YT heard that I will be in Shanghai so he asked if he and his friend can join me for this trip. The both of them had intended to go Shanghai for the World Expo in September or October. Since I will be in Shanghai for business, they wanted to join me so that they can save their money on the accommodation. I was alright with them bunking in with me so they will be with me for this trip!
After checking into the hotel, I met up with YT and Mini outside. They waited for me at Raffles City and then we went to makan dinner.
Xiuzhen brought along a Shanghai Tour Guide Book so we went and hunt for dinner according to its recommendations.
We went around eating 生煎包,雪菜鳝丝面 and 雪菜辣酱面. I like the 生煎包 but I'm not very fascinated by the noodles. :P
雪菜鳝丝面
After dinner, we walked down to The Bund from one of the train stations. We did not go to the Bund as there were too many people. Instead, we stayed at the area opposite The Bund where we can still see similar night scenes. By the time we were ready to leave, it was quite late. We had a hard time finding transportation back to the hotel. In the end, we had to pay more to take the "private" cabs back to the hotel. Sigh... Tio tok...
Courtyard Mariott XuJiaHui
We stayed in Courtyard Mariott XuJiaHui in Shanghai. The room is smaller than all the other rooms I stayed in while on company expense. I'm ok with it though.
The room is nicely done up with a side sofa at the bay window. I like! :D
Shanghai the 2nd Time Round...
Wah... It's been almost 2 yrs since I last been to Shanghai! There's definitely a lot of changes!
I dun remember seeing so many tall buildings in Shanghai when I was here 2 yrs ago. Shanghai is developing at a speed that is so fast that's it's so scary~
Tired!
I think I almost slept throughout my whole flight. I had not slept the previous night as I finished doing project in my classmate's house only at 2+ in the morning. After that, it was home to finish packing my luggage. Upon finished packing my luggage, it was time for me to head to the airport to catch my flight. Tired!
Weather
The weather in Shanghai now is 38degrees. It is also damn humid! As if being hot is not bad enough. I think the weather is about as bad as the weather in japan when I was there at their peak of the summer 3 yrs ago.

School Starts Again
Have not have the chance to blog at all for quite sometime. I can only blame my own laziness. :P School have started again. My lessons have resumed. So it is back to my usual hectic lifestyle again.
Sick
It seems that I am falling sick more frequently nowadays. In fact I was sick once I got back to Singapore from India and were out on MC for 2 days. Nay, it was not because of India I think. I suspect it is more of a case of weather change. Weather was cold when I got back to Singapore.
My illness cost me 2 tickets to The Full Monty. Sigh... I actually bought 2 tickets to watch The Full Monty with my bf when I am back in India. In fact I actually even went to the place to watch the show but I was so sick that I actually left the place before the show even started. Sigh...
I fell sick last week also... So it's like falling sick twice in 2 months which is really rare for me. In the past I seldom fall sick. Sometimes only once a year. This time... I think age is catching up with me ba... Sigh...
Shanghai
Anyway, I will be making a trip to Shanghai this coming Saturday. Need to go Shanghai for work. Some training and some ermm... auditing? haha... Not sure if this is the correct phrase. :P I will be going there earlier on Saturday and leaving on a Sunday. I have 2 friends who were planning to go to Shanghai in Sep/Oct. Since I will be going in August, they changed their trip and will be joining me on the trip as they want to bunk in with me and save the lodging. :D We will be trying to make a trip to the World Expo. My lovely colleague in Shanghai actually got me a free ticket to go to the World Expo. Hee...
I hope I won't be drowning in debts after I get back from Shanghai since I will expect myself to shop quite a bit while I am there. :P
Ok lah.. that's all for now... Till I get back from Shanghai I think... :)

Photos of India

Hi India~!
I got into Mumbai last night at around 11pm. My first impression of India is that it is not as bad as what I had thought.
Security at the hotel is much stricter than in Singapore. They actually check all the cars that come in, even the bottom of the car. Visitors of the hotel have to go through a metal detector like those that you find in the airport.
I stayed over at Le Royal Meridien, Mumbai for the night. It is quite a nice hotel. A little different from what I used to stay in the other previous hotels in China, but still nice. The hotel staff are really friendly and helpful. Most importantly, they bother to remember your name. Sometimes I feel that it is the little things that matter.
I flew into Pune in the morning flight today. I got to the hotel pretty quickly. I met my colleagues for lunch before heading to the office. Food was honestly good. I have always think that I will probably starve to death overy here. Now, I think I can safely say "No I think I may actually enjoy the food here."
Ok time for me to go to bed. Pictures to follow up soon... :D

星仔(香港)臭豆腐
I went to 星仔(香港)臭豆腐 for dinner over the weekend. It has been quite some time since I last went there. I was never fascinated with 臭豆腐 at all so naturally I won't purposely go there for dinner unless someone proposed to.
I still remember 星仔(香港)臭豆腐 has the smelliest 臭豆腐 I had ever smell before in Singapore. Not that there's a lot of places selling 臭豆腐 in Singapore. The only other place that I know is 蓬莱阁. So it's not a very fair comparison also. :P
Anyway, since I was already there, I decided to try the 臭豆腐 again to see if it is really as yummy as what everyone says... Or if it is still as yucky as I remembered it to be...

车仔面The 臭豆腐 does not smell as bad as what I remembered it to be. The taste was ok, still acceptable. The only thing is that I find it quite expensive. I vaguely remember that it cost $2 for a piece of 臭豆腐. That's quite expensive for such a small piece of toufu...
The food there is not bad but I will think twice about visiting this place again because of the price... :P

Job Interview?
I am thinking whether I should go and apply for other jobs. Haha... The job market has been picking up and there are some jobs that I am kind of interested in. Maybe it's time for me to do something about staying inside my comfort zone...

India
Damn! I am asked to go to Pune, India. For what purpose? I honestly have no idea at all. I HOPE it won't be as bad as I thought... I am already cursing and swearing at the flight timing now because Singapore does not have any direct flight to Pune. So I will be required to do a transit. The transit timing is ridiculous. I have to wait for at least 6 hours before my next flight. In the end, I decided to fly in on Sunday evening and stay overnight at Mumbai so that I can catch the morning flight to Pune. The only problem is I will arrive in Mumbai only at 11pm. Not a very favorable timing if you ask me. :S For my return flight, I decide to just wait for my next flight at the airport. I wonder how am I going to spend that 6 hours... If only Mumbai airport is as nice as Changi airport. Sigh...

Wake Up!
It's time to wake up from my dreams and face the reality. 2 years have been long enough. Time to move on...
ShenZhen & HK trip 2010
I reached ShenZhen on 22 May. I was there on a Sat even though I only need to be there for work on Monday. Since I had not been to ShenZhen before and I have a friend who will be there at the same time, I decided to fly in on Saturday. :P It is to be a short break for me also I guess...
I got in only on Sat evening. I checked into the hotel then walk down to the 东门步行街 to hunt for some dinner. ShenZhen's 东门步行街 reminds me a little of Shenyang... The following day, I met up with my friend and her husband for breakfast then went down to the wholesale center at 东门步行街. It was a whole new experience to me. Very interesting experience indeed...
深圳东门步行街
I started 'work' on Monday. There was really nothing much for me to do for work. :P I went down to the exhibition hall with the marketing girl to settle some stuff for the tradeshow. After that it was R&R liao. lol... We went shopping, followed by dinner then back to the hotel. I LOVE my hotel room. It was really nice. I can even watch the tv while inside the bathtub. :P It has a view of 世界之窗. It is just too bad that I couldn't find time to visit it. :(
世界之窗
I went over to HK on Friday. Almost got withdrawal symptoms from the change of hotel. lol... I stayed in a budget hotel when I was in HK. So imagine moving from Westin ShenZhen to a budget hotel in HK? It's like falling into hell from heaven. lol... Since I figured that I won't be staying in my hotel room much, I decided to save some money and stay in a budget hotel. The room was ok but it has a great location. The only downside of this budget hotel is that I have to lug my luggage up a flight of stairs before I have access to the escalator. I am glad I can still managed my slightly less than 20kg luggage. lol...
Super small hotel room in HK
This was the first time that I went to HK. HK is a very vibrant city. I we We did not do anything much other than shopping. Weather was bad too as it was raining when I wanted to go Avenue of Stars. :( I think I will be back to HK again one of the days... :)

HK & ShenZhen
I'm currently heading back to HKIA after shopping at CityGate. There's a lot of shops there. Just that the things are over my budget. I saw some shirts fr Guess that I will love to have but after weighing how much it will cost vs how often I will wear them, I decided not to buy it. I didn't buy a lot of things. Just 1 spag top and a belt from Espirit.
It took me a couple of hours before I crossed the border and reached the hotel. I reached the hotel only at 7+. I was supposed to meet Tracy for dinner but I can hear how tired she sounded on the phone after a day of photo shoot so I told her to stay home and rest.
I walked from the hotel to DongMen Bu Xing Jie. It's not very far. Around 10 to 15 mins walk. I grabbed a simple dinner there. DongMen Bu Xing Jie reminded me of Shenyang's Bu Xing Jie. I saw this top that I like very much! However, it cost a crazy price of SGD70+ after conversion! I wonder jow many people in ShenZhen can afford that price... After walking around for a while, I went back to the hotel. I didn't want to stay out until too late as I heard it's not very safe here.
So tiring

HK!
I reached HK not long ago. The plane touched down at ard 12.20. By the time I collected my luggage & all, it was ard 1. I dropped off my luggage at their Left Baggage service. Then proceeded to makan at Hui Lau Shan, a famous dessert store in HK.
I was supposed to go straight to ShenZhen fr HK airport but I'm already ard the area, I decided to drop by CityGate first b4 I go ShenZhen. CityGate is a factory outlet mall in HK. I want to go there and walk walk see see. :P I will be heading back to the airport to collect my luggage after that then take a bus into Shenzhen. My initial plan was to take a bus to ShenZhen directly from CityGate. Sadly though, that bus stops only at Huanggang Port or ShenZhen Bay Port, after which I have to make my owb way to LuoHu. Forget it lah... Especially when I heard that it will be quite hard to get taxis from there.
The customer service guy who sells the Airport Express pass is very nice. I was enquiring how much will it cost if I go to Tung Chung. I think he got a shock. Lol... He told me if I'm going to Tung Chung, take the bus S1. There's no need for me to take the Airport Express if I'm going to Tung Chung. He saved me HKD 56.50. :P
Let's see how my trip will turn out... :D

Full!
Ha... My luggage is already full even before I even step into HK and China's shores... How am I going to shop like that? Where can I put my things? :P
Pacman's 30th Birthday
In celebration of Pacman's 30th birthday, look at what Google did to their page!
You can play the game in that very page too! I think it's so cool lor... :D
WooHoo!
Ok... I am now packing my luggage... Counting down to my trip to ShenZhen & HK. The best thing about travelling alone? I can change my plan anytime. :P I actually planned to go ShenZhen directly from HK airport. I have just changed my mind. I will be dropping by CityGate in HK first and shop around before I move on to ShenZhen. Best thing is I just found out that they have a direct bus that will be able to bring me directly to ShenZhen. WooHoo~! :D

Changes in Orchard
Honestly hor, I have been so busy with my projects and exams recently that I had not been to Orchard for quite some time. Even the times when I was in Orchard previously, the furtherest I went is probably Ngee Ann City. From Orchard MRT station>Wisma Atria>Ngee Ann City, I usually go through the underpass so I have not been on the streets for quite some time.
So imagine the amazement that I feel when I see the transformation of Orchard Road. All the shopping centers that I used to be familiar with, had undergone a major plastic surgery! It's ok if I can't recognise the newer shopping centers like 313 Somerset and Orchard Central it took me some time to recognise The Hereens because of how much it had changed! I feel so damn sua ku lor... -_-'''
Since I was in Dhoby Ghaut today and I had sometime on hand before my next appointment, I took the opportunity to shop around 313 Somerset. The place is ok with shops that can be found in any other shopping centers. I got bored shopping there and found a cafe to park myself in and research for my HK trip. :P I think it's probably time for me to get myself updated with Orchard Road soon before I get myself labelled as the mountain tortoise by my friends... :P

Projects
I got back the results for all my projects liao... A bit disappointing... :(
The project that I hoped will get a High Distinction only managed a Distinction. That is after my lecturer sort of gave us quite good comments about the project. Another one that I hoped got a Credit managed a Distinction. I should be happy that we got a Distinction for that right? I'm not... So ironic right? I actually hope and wanted us to fare worse. Long story lah... lol... The last one was a disaster... For the first time since I started this course, I got a Pass for my projects. For my past 6 modules that I had went through, I got 3 High Distinction, 2 Distinction and 1 Credit. This one really destroy my record lor... Sigh... Thanks to that stupid lecturer who did not give clear instructions on how to do the project. :(
Ultimately, I am just happy that I managed to clear all my projects. I hope I cleared all my papers too. Doomsday is on 3rd June. Wish me lots of luck!

ShenZhen + HongKong
I will be going over to ShenZhen & HK for a short trip at the end of the month. There's a tradeshow in ShenZhen that one of my colleague wants me to attend to help out. I was thinking help out for what? I know nothing also... -_-'''
Anyway, I will be going there 2 days earlier to explore ShenZhen. Plus my classmate will be there to take her bridal studio photos then so I will be kpo-ing. :D Since I am flying back via HK, I am extending my trip over the weekend too. I guess this is the break that I need badly...

Exams sucks
This semester exams is especially bad... I think almost every paper I have the "F*** this time siao liao" feeling when I saw the paper. Half way through my paper I will have the "我问天" pattern... Really damn jialat lor...
I smoked through my first paper, 50% of the 2nd paper and 80% of the last paper. I think I have to pray very hard to get a pass this time round. It doesn't help that I was down with fever somewhere in between my papers too. Damn... This time really siao liao lah... I hope my ninja skills is gd enough... Sigh...

Cut!
Hee... I went and cut me hair just now. :D
Ok lah.. I admit, it's nothing very short. only around shoulder length. But still... I have been wanting to cut my hair for quite sometime. So... I'm a happy girl now. Hee...
I was walking home just now when I remembered that I am supposed to be YQ's model in May. I wonder how is she going to do anything to my hair now... Opps...

Sleepless Marathon...
I usually have sleeping marathons. For once, I have sleepless marathon... I have been without sleep for the past 36hours and counting...
I have been trying to finish up my project for Global Marketing the past few days. I know I won't be able to finish it up so I took leave on Wednesday to do it. I am the person who is responsible for compiling the whole project so I don't have much of a choice. I "camped" at Starbucks trying to finish up my project until 5.30am when I have to go home take a shower and prepare for work. If not for a meeting that I have to attend today, I would probably have taken the day off too.
I finally submitted it and done the presentation for it tonight. Phew~! Comments from my lecturer seems to be quite good also so I guess I can say all my efforts paid off... :D I do hope that I will get good grades for this project since I had put in quite a bit of effort. We shall see how...
For now, after my good dinner, it is time to go home and crash into my bed. I have to wake up early tomorrow to do my part for another project that is due on coming Monday... Sigh...

Weird People on the MRT
For some reason, I had been seeing a lot of weird people on the MRT recently... I wonder what happened...
Weird People # 1 & #2:
These two guys sitting beside me on the MRT must be thinking of participating in the dunno which Idol competition. They were singing on the MRT like nobody's business. It is lucky for me that they can actually sing quite well. Otherwise, I will probably need to stop them and ask them to spare my ears!
Weird People #3:
I was on the MRT on my way to Central to meet my classmates that day. This auntie got onto the MRT, put on her earphones and promptly on her walkman. Ya, walkman. I wonder if my walkman at home still works... I could hear the 老歌 that she was playing on her walkman, word by word, together with the tune and everything. Nope, that is not because she was sitting beside me and blasting her walkman away. That was because, I suspect, that she did not realise her earphones were not plugged into her walkman. -_-''' Everyone who got onto the MRT gave her weird stares. Not that she noticed or care...
Weird People #4:
On the same trip with Weird Auntie #3, there was this other lady sitting to my right side. I did not really notice her until when I was just about to get off the MRT. She was putting on her make up in the MRT. By make up I mean FULL make up. Foundation, eyeshadow, complete with fake eyelashes... I wonder if she will cause the male population to freak out after seeing how make up can transform a person's looks...

Accident Prone
Wah liao eh... I super accident prone nowadays...
Incident #1: Just a few weeks ago I sort of "misaligned" my right elbow because of some heavy stuff I carried. I went to this 跌打师 that my mum always visit to "correct" it. Damn painful... Had to go back twice before it is more ok now... Still pain lah. Plus I can feel that it is not as strong as before but better than nothing lah... Phew~!
Incident #2: One day, I noticed a cut on my left arm. Don't ask me what happened. I have no idea what happened at all even though I am missing a small piece of skin...
Incident #3: I fell while walking up the escalator. As a result I have cuts and a big bruise on my kneecap now.
Incident #4: I fell while walking up the stairs this afternoon after lunch. I landed exactly on the same place as my bruise from Incident #3. Great job!
Smart hor...

Primary School Class Gathering
Nowadays, other than wedding dinners, I guess the other more unexpected place to have a gathering is probably at a funeral wake.
I had a primary school class gathering at a funeral wake just the other day. I received an sms from my primary school classmate saying that his dad had passed away. He thought that he should let his primary school friends know. I smsed some of the few others to check if they will be attending the wake. If they are, when? In the end, it appears that this friend of mine only informed me about it as no one else seem to know anything about it. So I end up sort of helping him "spread the word".
4 of us turned up for the wake. 1 of them could not make it as she is getting married this year so she is not supposed to attend any weddings or funerals this year. We talked about the past. Talked about who used to like who, talked about what we used to do in school, talked about the teacher whom everyone loved but is actually the one who ill treated us the most. It was really fun to recall all the olden days. Gone were the days but bits and pieces of the memory returned as someone recalled something. Some of the memories were added as we told each other things that they never knew or noticed. It was really fun to recall them back...
I look forward to another primary school gathering. Definitely in another situation... Till then...
