Taiwan Delights

I was out with Benny and his friends yesterday. We went over to this place call Taiwn Delights which is located somewhere in Katong.

The menu at Taiwan Delights

The food there quite ok lah but not very fantastic also... I tried the Smelly Tofu there.... :P Their smelly tofu is not very smelly also. Still quite ok. At least I think the smell of the Smelly Tofu at the pasar malam in Jurong East there sure beats it. I think their Yan Su Ji taste quite good. Their Hei Zhua Nai Cha also very nice... ^^

After dinner we went over to the Settlers Cafe in Katong. We actually wanted to go to the Board Game Paradise in Marine Parade but too bad it closed down. Heard its very nice wor...

Anyway we took the standard package and played 2 hours of games there. We played Modern Art, Giza and Take 6. The games are still quite ok lah. Had quite a fun time there. Maybe we can go there another time and take the seats upstairs. :P

Hike at Khatib Busong

I joined my poly lecturer, his friends and some of his students for a hike at Khatib Busong on 19 March. It's been quite a while since we went for a hike together. We used to go hiking almost once every 2 weeks to some ulu ulu place just to c if there's anything interesting. That was before his wife got pregnant and gave birth to his daughter. Now we just go hiking together once in a blue moon... :P

Anyway we met up at 9 in the morning and set off for our hike. There's not much to see this time round, but we came upon this fish farm inside the forest. There were quite many people fishing there wor...

We came upon this group of people who look like they are foreign workers while we were hiking. I'm still wondering till this day whether they are illegal immigrants because I dun think you will find anyone who likes to gather together in the forest rite? I thot they usually gather in orchard behind the Orhcard Mrt where you can find many Filipino too? They even sai xian yu (salted fish) there wor... That was the first time I see people do that wor...

I'm looking forward to the next hike... Dunno when will it be...

Recent updates in my life...

It's been ard 2 weeks plus since I last update this blog. Hee... how come it took my so long to update? Cos I'm recently hooked to this Japanese Drama called H2 that Fred passed to me. Very nice... ^o^ Hee... so I end up watching one episode on my pc every night and after which I will go straight off to bed so I'm left with no time to come online. :P I have just started watching a new Jap Drama that Fred passed to me. Quite nice also but I have only watched 3 episodes so far... Will try to finish it soon... :P

Been quite busy working my project also. My group mates and I are most probably the only group that start working on our project only two weeks before the project is due for submittion. :P Still a bit more to complete after which we will be working on our presentation. This presentation will have a 30 percent on my grade for this module. So must work hard wor...

I got my results for my last semester liao... Not very great results consisting of Bs and Cs. But I think I'm quite satisfied with it liao considering the fact that I didn't get any Ds. :P But I was hoping that I can get a A for my Mangerial Finance but I got a B+ instead. Never mind.... I shall try harder for my other modules. :)

Ok lah... That's about all that I have for my recent updates. Will update on interesting food or places that I have eaten or been to recently later when I have time. ^o^

Where has all my time gone to?

I have been feeling kinda busy nowadays. "Been feeling" seems weird rite? Cos it's either you are busy or you are not. But believe me, I keep having the feeling that I am busy but yet I dun really seem so. This leaves me still wondering if I really am busy or not. *confused*

I am supposed to have a lot of time on my hands especially after my exams when my vacation module just started. Somehow, for some reason, I dun seem to have enuff personal time for myself. I dun even seem to be able to come online anymore either. Today is probably the first time in many days when I have the time to blog. Maybe I have time lah. Just that I seem to be feeling tired recently and went to bed slightly earlier than last time. I'm still trying to decide if it's good or bad. :P But I guess this is probably the main reason why I feel that I am busy when I'm actually not. Because coming online is one of the time I really relax at home ba... At least I can chat with my friends when I'm online...

For most people, the time after their exams are probably the best time. After all it's normally the school holidays after the exams. For me it's kinda different especially when I am taking the advance diploma course.

The time after exams is probably the worst time for me because I will be busy for my vacation module. Nothing much has change cos I will still hav lessons every Mon, Wed and Fri. The difference is probably only having to see the same lecturer and taking lessons for the same module every alternate days. The biggest difference is that I have my CA1 2 weeks after my lessons starts and I have to submit my assignment within 3 to 4 weeks after the module starts. That leaves me with almost no time to do anything else. So sianzzz.... *I bet Fred will wonder again why I seems to be always complaining nowadays...*

I absolutely dun have the mood to go for lessons nowadays. Dunno why also. Skipped quite a few lessons liao. For example today, I went to Isetan with my colleagues for shopping instead of going for my lessons. :P But sad to say there isn't anything to buy... :'( Sian... I want buy bag, shoes, clothes... hai...

Think it's time for me to buck up and go for my lessons especially when I still have my FYP to work on too.... *Starts to psycho myself no more skipping of lessons*

Dinner at Wasabi Tei

Benny brought me to Wasabi Tei for dinner sometime last week. It is a japanese restaurant located in a ulu corner in Far East Plaza.

I quite like that place. It is kind of like those sushi counter in those Japanese show where you sit around the counter while the chef cook for you. Actually he normally cooks in the small kitchen at the back but he makes the sushi at the counter.

I guess I like it mainly because it's quite different from those usual Japanese restaurants you find everywhere. It's more home style ba... One thing about the place is that you cannot be too particular about service. This is because the chef actually has a bit of attitude, but the good food that comes with a cheap price tag there is worth it ba. :P

The yummy food I had in Wasabi Tei...
