Resolution for 2008

Ok... After reflecting back on what I did for Year 2007, naturally here comes what I hope to do in Year 2008... So here goes my resolution for Year 2008...

1. Lose a few kgs.
I definitely can do with taking some weight off my body... I will start my jogging again and in turn hopefully will be able to lpse some weight too... :)

2. Take up a course
I am thinking of taking up a course with the community centre. It may be yoga or some sorts. The main aim is to make use of my time and also to learn something new. I have been idling at home for too long after I finished my Advanced Diploma so it's time for me to learn something new.

3. Learn and pass driving
As much as I know I am a mobile road hazard, I have decided to learn driving... However, first I need to pass my Advanced Theory. I will be taking my retest this week so wish me luck! :D

4. Save more money
One thing I am good in is to spend money. I have been able to save some amount but it is very little. I am aiming to save more money this year... Let's hope I will succeed...

Let's see how much of my resolution I can complete this time round... :D

GoodBye 2007 Hello 2008

2007 has come and is going soon... In exactly 24 hours times, 2008 will arrive... So I guess it is time for me to look back at 2007...

2007 has been a great year for me so far. It is just sad that it seems to me that I seem to be losing contact with even more friends even though my resolution for 2007 is to try to keep in more contact with my friends. I had met up with a couple of friends whom I had not seen in years but I had also not met up with some of my very dear friends whom I would love to keep in constant contact with. Sometimes I have no idea if I am the only one who is trying to make an effort to meet up with some of them because it seems that most of the times I seem to be the one initiating the meet ups. I definitely hope I am just being too sensitive here...

I think I have gained another few kgs in 2007... ~!@# I had started jogging but had stopped for a couple months as I was quite busy with work. It seems quite hard to start my engine again after I stopped my jogging... :P Ok lah... I will make it an effort to start my jogging routine soon... :D

That's more or less for my 2007... Let's hope 2008 will be a better year...

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to everyone...! Hope you all will have great fun... I didn't buy a lot of presents this year so please don't blame me if I forget your present... :P

For those who has yet to catch Alvin and the Chipmunks, I think it is worth watching. The movie is quite funny... I still like Theodore the most... :D Some of the songs inside are quite cute as well... :D

Flea Fly Mosquito...

This song keeps ringing in my mind throughout the whole of today...

Flea Fly Mosquito
Flea (Flea)
Flea Fly (Flea Fly)
Flea Fly Mosquito (Flea Fly Mosquito)

Calamine! (Calamine!)
Calamine Calamine Calamine lotion
Oh no more calamine lotion

Itchy itchy scratchy wacky up and down my backy wacky
Itchy Iicky scratchy wacky up and down my backside
Beep went the bug when I spray it with my spray can
Phss...

Just in case you have no idea what song is this, this is actually a campfire song that I used to sing when I was in Girl Guides.

And also, the part where I am feeling the itch is neither my back nor my back side. It is my feet... No thanks to the mosquitoes in Bukit Brown Cemetery. Grrr... I wonder how my bf survive the itch since he is in a much worse condition...

Bukit Brown Cemetery

I went to Bukit Brown Cemetery yesterday with a bunch of friends. We were there at around 1 plus in the morning for a solo and group walk activity. I think this is the first time I ever went to a cemetery and in the middle of the night.

Bukit Brown Cemetery is located somewhere near Lornie Road. I never knew there is a cemetery there until yesterday. It is said to be one of the oldest cemetery in Singapore. We drove to the cemetery and boarded a lorry that one of my friend was driving to go into the cemetery. Upon passing through the gates of the cemetery, I couldn't help start to feel the eeriness of the cemetery. I had done solo walk before in places where it was so dark that I can't even see the route in front of me and I had to rely on the light of the candle in my hand to guide me along, yet I had not ever felt so spooked or eerie.

My friends dropped my bf, me and 3 other friends off somewhere in the cemetery and asked us to follow a route which will lead us to the end point where we were supposed to wait for the others to come.

I was trying hard not to look around me while I was walking in the cemetery. However as it was the first time I ever properly been into a cemetery, I can't help but try to look and see my surroundings. As there is a clearing along the path that we were walking on, it was actually not very dark and thus the moonlight provided enough light for me to look around my surroundings a little. I can seen the silhouette of the tombstones around me. It adds to the eeriness of the surroundings.

The path where there was clearing was still no so bad to walk in. I could almost pretend that I was doing all my other solo walks. Then came the part where it was so dark that I almost could not see the path in front of me. I had to hold my bf's hand to get some confidence. Hee... I felt so kiasi then... hee... We reached the end point after we walked through that dark dark path and I waited there with my bf for the rest of the other people to come.

My bf and I were practically feeding the mosquitoes while we were waiting there. I was lucky to be wearing long pants so my mosquito bites are concentrated on the area around my feet. My bf was bitten almost everywhere. I was almost dozing off while waiting for the others to arrive when there was suddenly a very loud "BOOM" that seemed to be right beside me. I jumped off from my seat and was totally freaked out... I think my bf was quite freaked out also... Who wouldn't? It was already quite freaky to be in a cemetery in the middle of the night and so that suddenly loud noise really freaked me out. As it was too dark I couldn't really seem what happened so we decided to shift our seat further in. I couldn't sleep anymore after that incident and luckily the first person we were waiting for arrived soon after...

We got out of the cemetery at around 5 in the morning... Home sweet home to catch up on our sleep.... Yawn...

My hot chocolate from McCafe... Pretty right? :D

"Shocking" news from my friends

Heh... I was having dinner with my friends just now when someone told me this news... My ex-bf is currently dating this secondary schoolmate of ours. I can't help but laugh when I thought of the weird combination. That was when another friend of mine revealed an even more shocking news... He heard that they are planning to get married soon...

Hee... I can't help but laugh whenever I try to put them two together... No matter how hard I try, I think they just look weird together. I know they have been very good friends since secondary school but I never thought they will end up together... It just feels kind of weird... Hee...
