On Coughing Marathon...

Wah liao... damn sway... I was having a slight sore throat and a slight fever last thursday so I took a MC and stayed at home. The slight sore throat which never recovered developed into a very nasty cough now... So now I am on a non-stop coughing marathon... The doctor gave me a MC on Tuesday but I did not go home to rest. Instead, I went to school after lunch because I have a project to submit that day.

I have not been getting much rest the past few days + being down with a terrible cough, my eyelids can barely open when I was in the office yesterday and this morning... I lost count of the no. of cups of coffee that I drank just to keep myself awake... :(

I guess... I need a very good rest...

旧歌金曲 KTV

My classmates seems to love to sing and it's a good thing that they are really good in singing. The end result = I have been going to quite a lot of KTVs with them nowadays. The consequence of too frequent KTVs sessions with them starts to get boring because we seem to be always singing the same songs! That's when an idea came to my mind. Why not we have a theme for the KTV session next time? :D

This was why we decided to have 旧歌金曲 KTV session after school last Friday. Hee... The rules are simple... We are only allowed to sing old songs. We did not set any timeframe of songs that we so-called old as we do not want to limit anyone especially those who does not sing very frequently. Some are classic songs from 邓丽君... Some of the old songs I never even hear before. It was quite fun especially when someone sings a song that makes us exclaimed "Wah kao! This song is really super old lor!"

I think we probably can have something like this again another time. It makes the KTV session more fun. :D

Never underestimate Anyone...

I used to have a classmate in Secondary School whom I don't really like. He is a nice guy lah just that I find him too kao peh most of the time and sometimes very irritating in class. A few years back, I got back in touch with him again. He's a total changed person from the guy he was many years ago...

He went and studied in NIE to become a teacher!!! Knowing how much headache he had given the teachers when he was in secondary school, this news came as a big surprise. More recently, he graduated from NTU with a first class honours and also a LKY gold medal. Totally jaw drop...

I guess this is what people always say about never underestimate anyone. People who are not very studious, successful when they young, don't mean that they will not be in the future... Who knows what will happen in the future right? :)

Being Friends with the Ex...

It seems to me that there really is not many people around who can accept the fact that their bf/gf is still friends or worse yet, best friends with their ex.

This didn't really happened to me. Rather, it happened to my best friend who was my ex bf. Seems to me that all his gfs or rather most of his gf are unable to accept the fact that both of us are still very good friends even though we broke up. It took some of them quite sometime to get over it. Some never got over it but have to accept it. My bf is probably one of those who are forced to accept ba... I'm not too sure also...

I just don't get it why does it bothers them so much? It was long over for the both of us. I am, in a way, happily attached already... It's not like I ever harbour any thoughts about us getting back together again. Neither does he... And most of all, we had changed... We are no longer who we used to be. We are still best friends because we understand each other/s thoughts and mentality most of the time. Yes, I say most of the time because sometimes I do have the urge to kill him when I cannot comprehend with his ideas and way of thinking. Most importantly, in a way, both of us grew up together. We walked alongside each other through many parts and often, most important parts of our lifes. This probably made the bond between us stronger than most people's. That is probably why we are still best friends even though we used to be together especially when we were good friends before we got together then.

No matter what, I do hope he will be able to find his happiness soon... After all, I wish the best for him...

Played Out

Last Friday, C and X asked me if I want to join them for lunch at Vivocity. Since I did not lunch with them over the past few days and plus it was a Friday, I decided to join them for lunch.

It was already almost 1 by the time we finished lunch. C said she wanted to go 2 shops in Vivo and X said she need to drop by Starhub for some errands. As S did not eat much, she had already went to run her own errands before we even finished lunch.

As I had nothing much to do in Vivo, I walked around Tangs for a while before calling S. S was helping her boss to look for something so I met up with her. While we were walking around, S recieved an sms from X saying C and her is going back to the office first as she was having a headache.

I was quite upset by it as X could have told us and we could all 4 go back together. By the time I got back to office, it was really late. Once I stepped into my lab, C tried to explain to me why they came back first.

C : After I went to the 2 shops, I was very tired already. I keep thinking why are you all taking so long? Then X said she is having a headache so we decided to come back first.

Me (trying to talk like I am not bothered or upset at all) : You have handphone lor. You could have called us one.

C: I was at Level 1 and I'm lazy to go up to Level 2 to look for you all mah.

Me (Thinking to myself "wah kao... she's damn lame lor) : We can come down and find you one lor.

C: I never think of that mah...

Really damn lame lor... I felt so played out by the both of them. I strongly suspect that they did it on purpose for whatever reason that only they know. The worse thing is, after I came back into office, X don't look like she's having a headache at all lor. I relate the whole incident to my other colleague and my colleague said that X don't look like she's having a headache as she's "jumping" around in the office. Damn crap lor...

I did not really talk much to C and X after that as I was quite upset. In the future if we are out for lunch together, if I have nothing to do already and have to wait for them, I will go back to the office on my own first. I will not waste anymore time waiting for them and risk getting played out by them like that day.
