I'm kind of surprised to see this commercial airing in Singapore. After all Singapore is more or less known for its strict regulations on all forms of media. The advertisers must have done pretty much homework to go around the loopholes of the regulations just to promote their product. I guess it is considered as a successful commercial since it passed the regulations but yet is able to bring the message across on what the product it is advertising for.

Please give up your seat for the pregnant woman or elderly...
I have a colleague who is around 5 months pregnant. As she is rather small in size, her stomach did not really show until recently. It is understandable when people do not offer them their seat on the bus or MRT when her stomach is not really showing because they may not know that she is pregnant. However sometimes it's not the case of not knowing. It is more of the case of "I take it that I did not see anything. I just pretend I am sleeping until she gets off the train" kind of mentality. At times it really irks me to see that kind of attitude lor...
Take for example this evening when we were on our way home after work. She took a different train from me when we were going home. As her train arrived earlier than mine, so I was still waiting for my train on the platform after she board her train. I happened to look inside the MRT and saw her standing in front of a bunch of inconsiderate people. I can't help but messaged her the following: "Wah... Your stomach must be really small for those people sitting in front of you to think that it's a tummy and not that you are pregnant." I know these people do not owe those pregnant woman or elderly a seat on the MRT, but shouldn't they should be kind enough to offer them a seat if they can't find a seat? What if they fall on the MRT and anything happens to them? I wonder how will these people react if they hear me say out whatever I messaged my colleague. Will they even feel embarrassed?
I hope that people will have more empathy for others. Place yourself in the shoes of the pregnant woman or the elderly. Would you want to be treated the same way as how they are treated?
