365 Project: Wish Granter

Christmas is coming round the corner. This year F's department decided to do something different instead of the usual Christmas Gift Exchange. They decided to be a wish granter instead. They got a wishlist for kids from those needy families and everyone split them up to get something from the list for them. The budget for each person was supposed to be $15 since that was the amount they were supposed to use for gift exchange. Nick and I decided to chip in for the watches Fred was buying for the kids. Why not right? Give a little for Christmas. After all, Christmas is all about giving. :)

Finally over!

The ROM is finally over! Somethings were done very last min so I am just very happy that nothing went wrong with the whole thing. It seemes that everyone enjoyed the food and service was quite good too. Most important is that everyone enjoyed themselves. :)

Now, I am officially Mrs Tan! lol...

365 Project continue...

I tried to make sure I take a photo a day for 365 Project but I was really too busy to come online to upload all the photos. As much as I loved Blogger App, it does not allow me to change the date of the posting. :S

I missed taking the photos during one period as my uncle passed away recently and we were all busy preparing his funeral wake. Time to restart my engine for 365 Project...

Tomorrow is THE day and I just realised there seems to be tons of things that I have not done yet. lol... I hope everything will turn out fine...

I have not had Max Brenner's Fondue ever since I stopped working part time there many years ago. I went back there with Fred, Nick and Linda this evening. Some things changed, but the good old taste remained. Yummy... :D

I was listening to the song on Yes 933 this morning. Ahhh... I'm feeling nostalgic here... I can still remember how much I used to like this song. I can still remember this is the first song I tried to copy down its lyrics. I still can remember the song has alot of chinese characters that I could not recognise as I was only 6 or 7 years old then. I still can remember copying down the lyrics from the SBC magazine. That magazine was the predecessor of i-Weekly. Heh... so many memories... :D

I went to my friend's house to pick up something from her. She has 2 very cute cats which can amuse themselves with every little things. Maybe that's cat's nature. :P

Anyway Mario "greeted" me when I reached her place. He kept going around my legs, attempted to bite me and etc. I told my friend that he has a fetish for legs as he was burying his head in my friend's shoes earlier on. Lol...

365 Project

I mentioned about Project 365 that I read about from Story of Bing the other day. I later found out from Bing that Project 365 or rather, 365 Project, is an international movement. The purpose of 365 Project, is to document a year of ones life by taking a daily photo. This will help one to build a picture of the little day to day things that make their life so special and unique. :D

Knowing myself who is always 3 分钟热 kind of person, let's see how long will I persevere with this. :P

365 Project: Clarke Quay

I have some colleagues coming in from China this week for training. I accompanied them to have dinner in Clarke Quay just now. I always like Clarke Quay. It is one of the few places in Singapore that always seems to be alive. It always makes me feel that Singaporeans are not as dull as we look. We are still a happening lot! :)

365 Project: Coffee Jelly Milk Tea

I love to drink Milk Tea. That is usually my choice of drink whenever possible. :P

Singapore is currently having a Milk Tea craze. You can find a shop selling Milk Tea everywhere. So it is good for me because this means I won't need to hunt high and low for a decent Milk Tea.

Coffee Jelly Milk Tea from Share Tea is my current favorite. I will usually add pearls to my drink too. :P Unfortunately, I still think 4 Seasons do a better job. It is just too bad that I will have to travel all the way to Katong if I want to drink my Coffee Jelly Milk Tea from 4 Seasons. For now, I will just have to make do with the Coffee Jelly Milk Tea from Share Tea. :D

365 Project: Future Home

Ok... I said I want to do a Project 365 too... So here's the first one! :D

Bf and I managed to get a unit somewhere in Punggol. Our house is supposed to be ready earliest by March 2012.

As the flats are constructed in batches, some of the people living in the same area can get their keys by next week. We popped by the area yesterday to kpo abit. Looks nice. I can't wait to get my keys and have my own place even though the cost of renovation will kill us totally! :P

Story of Bing

I was reading through the blog of The Story of Bing just now. It is quite an interesting blog written by a Singaporean who is currently living in South Africa.

A photographer herself, she started a project called Project 365 to document things that she sees everyday.

I would say this is a very interesting idea. How long has it been since we last stop and really notice things around us? Maybe it is time for me to do something like this too... I will try to start my own Project 365 too. :)

Christmas is coming!

It's November already! This means Christmas will be approaching soon! Ha... I always love Christmas because it is during this time when one will feel everyone is very giving! No doubt getting suitable presents for people is a huge headache, I still enjoy the process of giving. Christmas period is also the time when you get all the holidays! :) Looking forward to Christmas! :D

End of Year

Without actually realising it, November has arrived. There's only 2 more months left before 2011 come and go. So fast. Too fast.

Work

Work has been especially bad this year. I felt bounded with little room for progress. I had more or less do all that I can and there is nothing left for me to do to be able to progress. There are a lot of frustrations at work, that mainly coming from a peer who watches her drama while working. Revisiting this topic will only make me boil. All I can say now is things with her is better now after I had spoken to my boss and my boss, her. I don't ask for a lot. I only hope things with her will remain as it is now. Most of the time I don't care what is she doing as long as it does not affect me. In fact, this is probably the first time in my life to complain about a co-worker to my boss.

Relationship

Relationship w bf is good for most part. There are arguements on and off but nothing that we cannot sort out between ourselves. We will be getting ROM this month. Everything has been more or less settled. More or less. :P Let's just hope I did not forget anything important to do. Hee...

Money

My plans for saving more money just don't seem to be working out at all. Whenever there is finally some money in the bank, something will always come along and wipe it out. Sigh...

Weight

I told myself that I have to lose weight. I have lose a little weight. Not alot though. For 2011, I really have not idea if I lose more than what I had put on. Lol... I just hope I won't look too fat in my ROM photos. :P

I hope the rest of 2011 will be better for me. Cross my fingers...
