I went to 阿一 Seafood Restaurant for dinner with my bf and his family today. For most people,I think the restaurant 阿一鲍鱼 will be more familiar to them. This 阿一 Seafood is actually owned by the same boss or I think I should say that it's a subsidary...
The food there was quite ok. At least I like the black pepper crab. As for the chilli crab, I still think the ones in MacPherson is still the best that I have tasted before even though it is too spicy for me. Too bad I have no idea where that store was relocated to...
The highlight of the dinner is most probably the abalone! Even though this is not the autentic 阿一鲍鱼, we decided to still order the abalone and try. We ordered the Africa Wild Abalone at around $10 each, which is only a miserable 5 cm long. But I think since abalone is always so expensive and since this is fresh one, the price should still be considered as reasonable.
We ordered the abalone to be cooked in 2 different way. One of it is cooked in is cooked in 红烧 style and the other with some paste.

Personally I prefer the one cooked in 红烧 way. I think it's because you can taste the abalone when it is cooked that way. The paste used in the other method of cooking sort of "covered" the taste of the abalone. So wasted...
But overall it's still a yummy meal... :)
