Handsome Suit

I just caught Handsome Suit at the cinema today. It is just a simple movie about an ugly guy who got his chance of becoming handsome by wearing the "Handsome Suit". I quite like the movie as it is very light hearted and very funny.

Lessons learned from the movie:
1. Looks do matter.
How many times have people make friends with another just because of looks only?

2. Find someone who you can laugh with and not someone who only looks good on the outside.
How easy to say but how hard to do... No wonder when I was young, my friends and I always say that it's 真爱 whenever we see a couple with a handsome guy / pretty girl with a not-so-pretty gf/handsome bf.

Quarantine

I watched Quarantine with my boyfriend and another 2 friends of ours last night. I almost puked while watching this movie, not because of the disgusting scenes but because of the "shakey" camera. It has been quite a long time since I last feel like puking from "motion sickness" lor... It's like another Blair Witch Project kind of movie but as I never really finish watching a Blair Witch Project movie before, so I can't really comment which is more "shakey".

Frankly, unless you are looking for a kick of motion sickness, please don't watch that movie.

200 Pounds Beauty - Beautiful Girl

I finally get to watch 200 Pounds Beauty this afternoon. For some reason I have not been able to catch the show when it was showing in the cinemas so I can only wait until the DVD is out before I can buy it and watch. I think the show is good... Quite funny but yet touching... For those who have yet to watch, you can get the DVD from the stores now. :)

300

Based on the epic graphic novel by Frank Miller, "300" is a ferocious retelling of the ancient Battle of Thermopylae in which King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and 300 Spartans fought to the death against Xerxes and his massive Persian army. Facing insurmountable odds, their valor and sacrifice inspire all of Greece to unite against their Persian enemy, drawing a line in the sand for democracy.

I joined a contest and won 2 tickets to go 300's gala premire yesterday. Not bad considering that it comes with tickets, popcorn, drinks and also a goodie bag. Nothing much inside the goodie bag other than a poster.

I quite enjoyed the show and think it's a movie that is worth for people to pay and watch. I will enjoy the whole thing more if I wasn't stuck in Shaw House carpark to get out of there. We finished the movie at 11.30pm and only managed to get out fr there at 12+ due to the long quene of cars trying to leave Shaw House too. I end up reaching home only at ard 1am...

Tip: Next time don't park ur car in the carpark in Shaw House if you are watching a movie. You will surely regret it...
