阿一 Seafood Restaurant...

I went to 阿一 Seafood Restaurant for dinner with my bf and his family today. For most people,I think the restaurant 阿一鲍鱼 will be more familiar to them. This 阿一 Seafood is actually owned by the same boss or I think I should say that it's a subsidary...

The food there was quite ok. At least I like the black pepper crab. As for the chilli crab, I still think the ones in MacPherson is still the best that I have tasted before even though it is too spicy for me. Too bad I have no idea where that store was relocated to...

The highlight of the dinner is most probably the abalone! Even though this is not the autentic 阿一鲍鱼, we decided to still order the abalone and try. We ordered the Africa Wild Abalone at around $10 each, which is only a miserable 5 cm long. But I think since abalone is always so expensive and since this is fresh one, the price should still be considered as reasonable.

We ordered the abalone to be cooked in 2 different way. One of it is cooked in is cooked in 红烧 style and the other with some paste.

红烧鲍鱼

Yummy Abalone

Personally I prefer the one cooked in 红烧 way. I think it's because you can taste the abalone when it is cooked that way. The paste used in the other method of cooking sort of "covered" the taste of the abalone. So wasted...

But overall it's still a yummy meal... :)

Lucky strike...

I went to Anchorpoint for lunch with my colleagues the other day. As we still have sometime after we finish our lunch, we decided to go walk walk in that small miserable Anchorpoint.

While we were walking around it, I decided I want to try my luck and buy ToTo. Dun ask me why but I jus suddenly feel like buying ToTo. Honestly specking, I seldom buy ToTo or 4D this kind of things. Maybe once or twice a year ba...

I went down and to the booth and picked 2 sets of numbers and while I was there I decided to buy soccer also. I seldom watch soccer. I don't even remember if I ever sit down in front of the tv and finish watching a full match before. I look at the screen and decided to pick the match of the first team whom I can remember the name. :P I decided to buy draw for the match between Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. Dunno why also... Maybe its odds is the highest between the 3 ba... :P

Surprise surprise surprise... I did not even go and check results of the match until I hear the results from the news that they really draw! At least the money I won will be able to help me recover what I lost in ToTo cos the numbers I bought for ToTo got kanna 'eaten'... :P

my winning ticket!

Mr Hong Kong 2006

I just realised that one of my ex-classmate joined Mr Hong Kong 2006. In my opinion, I think he very CMI. I almost fainted when I see the link another of my ex-classmate sent me. I din know Mr Hong Kong 2006 has downgrade until he can manage to get into the Finals. Think there's no point in watching these kind of pagents anymore in the future if this is the kind of standard they are getting. But then again... I seldom watch them anyway... :P

Xmas shopping Part 2

I finally managed to get all my Xmas presents today! My company gave us half day off today so after a short shopping trip in PS with my colleagues, I went over to Royce in Suntec to get some chocolates last min. Maybe I was there early while some people r still working, so I did not need to wait for very long to go into the shop. Wait to go into the shop? Ya... You never see wrongly... Royce placed a barrier outside their shop to prevent people from going into their shop. You have to wait outside their shop and they will let you go in once one of the people queneing to pay up for the chocolates leaves their shop. Think they dun wan too many people in the shop. At least I dun need to squeeze with people to pay cos they have a quene in line. Overall I think they did very well with crowd control in their shop. :)

I was so tired from all the Xmas shopping today that I told my bf that I wun be meeting him and will be heading straight for home. It has been a long time since I felt so tired from shopping... Maybe I'm really getting old... :(

Sorry if I forgotten anyone's present but I think I am too broke to buy any more presents liao... I think the amount I spent on this year's Xmas present r much more than last yr...

I hate it when people bought me present but I did not buy any for them. This yr I got 3 surprise presents... Even though some of them r small but it's still the thought that counts. Thank you to those who bought me presents but did not receive any from me. Even though it's still not Xmas yet so I can still but something for u in return, but I'm just too lazy to go squeeze with the crowd anymore. I will try to get something for u all in return nx yr.

What will you do...?

What will you if you see someone shoplift something in a shop? It maybe a very small thing like a magazine or something expensive like a wallet. Will you go and tell the shopkeeper / security about what you saw? Or will you go up to that shoplifter and tell him / her that "Hey I think you took something that is not yours. You better put the thing back or I'll call the police or tell the shopkeeper...

I was faced with the dilema to tell or not to tell today. I think I saw this man went n took a copy of a newspapers (yes, you din see wrongly. it's really newspapers) from the rack outside the 7-Eleven in Causeway Point and left without paying.

I have the strong urge to go n confront the man but I dare not because I started doubting myself whether I saw wrongly. Maybe that man bought the papers from the stall at the MRT station and he was just walking too close to the rack in 7-Eleven. Yet I was certain that my eyes did not play tricks on me.

Some people may say that "ai ya... it's only a $0.70 newspapers. He want take then take lah... What for kick up a big fuss?" To me it's something else called morality. Kind of weird hearing me talk about morality rite? Dunno y leh... I just feel that shoplifting is a no no kind of thing no matter how expensive the thing is. What if his children sees what he does n decides to follow suit? A lot of times kids commit crime because of the "good" examples that their parents show making them feel that it's alright to do so. This makes me wonder if parents r really showing a good example to their children.

Xmas shopping Part 1

I went Orchard after work to do some Xmas shopping... Finally had some time to do some shopping. But I sorta regret shopping for my Xmas gifts so late cos there's loads of people everywhere! Everywhere is either people people people or quene quene quene... the crowd is just so HORRIBLE~! The fact that it's raining doesn't help also cos people are all hanging in the shopping malls while they wait for the rain to stop...

The worse thing that happen today is perhaps that I have yet to get all the presents that I should be getting! I am still clueless about what to get for some people. Have not got anything for my company's gift exchange too. Worse come to worse I'll be giving them $20 Taka voucher ba... Which is about the most boring but useful present you can give...

Last of all... Someone please remind me to shop for my Xmas presents early next year ok? I dun want to be caught in the crowd again anymore...

Xmas is coming~!

Xmas is coming in 8 days time! I have been a lazy girl this year so I have yet to get any present for anyone yet... I'm planning to get some presents lah... Let's just hope I can wake up early tomorrow and go get some Xmas shopping done... Too lazy to squeeze with the Xmas shoppers crowd so I have no choice but to go out early to shop...

I had made a list of who to get presents for. Let's just hope I wun get any unexpected gifts fr anyone this year. One thing heng is that I'm sharing some presents with my colleague so I dun have to think of what to get for them liao... Phew~!

Still thinking of what to get for everybody... I also need some ideas for a unisex present for gift exchange that cost at least $20... Someone please help me....

Red Bean White Rabbit Sweet

Does any one of you know that there is White Rabbit sweet in Red Bean flavour?! I am so surprised when my bf sent me a picture of it. My sis simply say I'm sua gu cos she says it's been out for quite sometime liao... Issit? Now then I know I am a mountain tortise...

New Chocolate on the Block...

My colleague bought a box of chocolate and left it in the pantry for all to share. According to him, he just happen to see it at the checkout counter of Marketplace and decided to buy a box and try. He had no regrets cos in his opinion chocolate is even better than Rocher so he went back and got another box to share with us.

I tried it and it's... yummy! I liked it! Hee... a new brand of chocolate that got me hooked. Or maybe I'm sua gu cos it may be around in the market for quite sometime but I did not notice it...

This chocolate is called Golden Poker. It is a milk chocolate praline with rice crisp in the centre of the chocolate. I think the name is very lao tu but the taste is good! Yummy... But it's quite expensive though... The price is around the same as Rocher.... I got a box of approxmately 22 pieces (350g) for ard $11+... Burnt a hole in my pocket.

Yummy Golden Poker!

If you know me, then you will most probably know how much I liked chocolates and tibits and stuff like that. My poly sch friends used to say that if you wan tibits, sweets, chocolates and etc, go look for me. Cos most prob I'll have some in my bag. I think for the time being I'll be spending some $$ on this liao... Anybody want to sponsor me? ;)

Job Blues

I like working in my current company. Who would when they are paying you well, when I have a very nice manager who really takes care of us, when I have a bunch of nice colleagues? But frankly speaking, sometimes I do get bored by the job in a way. Some people may ask me why am I still not satisfied with my job? Especially when my job actually pays me better than what I should expect at my qualifications and etc. But sometimes I just dun really feel like going to work in the morning. Dun ask me why. Maybe it's job blues.
Maybe it's time for a change of job... Maybe I'm just sick of working... Maybe... just maybe... I wan be tai tai... :P

You need to do something before somethings will change

I was talking to him on the phone just now. I knew he wasn't in a good mood cos I can feel it from his smses. He told me that it was something to do about work and he will tell me about it after he finished his work. As I was still in Benny's hse after he finished work, I told him that I will talk to him when I am on my way home.

I called him and talked to him while I was on my way home. Both of us sort of have an arguement about what he was trying to tell me. He told me how he was unhappy with his current job and all but I feel that the job can be better if he makes some effort and try to change things. Maybe it's because the difference in our opinion, so we ended the conversation in a rather unhappy way I guess.

I dunno how can I let him see the fact that things may turn out to be the same in most places. Neither do I know how can I let him know that sometimes it's up to him to make the first move to change something. Sometimes you need to do something before somethings will change... Not everyone has the same "I don't care, I do what I think is rite" mentality as me.... If you don't have this kind of mentality, then you better do something else to change what you wan to change...

Random thoughts at work

Sometimes I feel that if you want people to treat you this way, then you should treat others the same way too. Don't give people black face and expect them to smile at you... Dun ask if she complained to me about you. Ask yourself whether you did something that people will complain about.

Plans for 2007!

I have just made up my mind about what I plan to do in 2007! The first thing on my to do list for 2007 is to get my driving license! Hee... Hope I will be able to get it successfully lah... Cos I know I am a mobile road hazard... :P I think I'm thinking too far liao... Cos I haven't even take my basic theory test yet... Take my 2 theory tests n pass first then consider taking my practical lessons ba... :P

Some thoughts about my relationship with my bf...

I think he is a better bf than I am a gf to him. I do have to admit that I think he handles the relationship better than I do. At least he gives me assurance that I need it badly which I failed to do a few months back when a similar situation happened to him.

I guess there are some things about my current relationship that I have to think through. Not that I have been treating him badly, but I think there are some things that I can deal with or do better in. Sparing a thought for him when I do things is one thing that I failed to do most of the time. :P I will try my best to spare him a thought. I try...

Thank you for being such a lovely bf... :)

Angry...

Honestly, I haben been feeling so angry for so long liao... So long that I can't even recall when was the last time that I felt so angry. Today you managed to make me feel angry just by your that seemingly nothing-much-to-think-about sms.

I promised you that I will try and not be angry anymore by tomorrow... I really hope I can fulfil this promise...

Itchy hands...

My hand has been feeling itchy since tuesday... Very itchy... There are little bumps at the place where it's itchy. Feel like scratching it so much... Dunno what happen also leh... Dun think its the white wine I drank on Sun cos the rashes that I usually develop from drinking alcohol does not looks like that...

I finally cannot tahan this evening and dragged myself to go c the doctor about the itch after my work today. Acutally if my boyfriend din insist that I go and c the doctor, I doubt I will also... Cos I will keep thinking that it will go away by itself soon and most importantly, I'm too lazy to go to the doctor... :P

After seeing the doctor I decided to do one thing... To seek for a SECOND opinion~! I think the doctor is lousy... lousy as in REAL LOUSY~! Wah liao... He onli briefly GLANCED at my hand for like... 5 SECONDS before he concluded that I got eczema~?! Sure or not? Is he really so good that he only need to take a 5 second glance before he is so certain that I kanna eczema? He did not ask me whether I have been in contact with any chemicals or detergents recently and he just told me that those 2 things are the cause of my eczema... Sure or not?! I even had to ask him if there is anything I have to avoid, to which he replied chemicals and detergents lor... He wun even bother to tell me if I din ask him...

Wah... I think if that's the case then I can go quit my job liao... Avoid chemicals and detergents? Wah liao... Those 2 makes up my ricebowl lor... If I have to avoid them then I mite as well quit my job and find another one. Or else better still stay home and find someone to yang me... Maybe I can suggest that to my bf... :P

Hee... My colleague told me to go buy 4D since my hand itchy... Cos she say very high chance will strike one... Hee... Maybe I will go buy if I can find any 'zhen zhi'.... If really strike then I give her a treat... lol...

To the smokers in Singapore...

The haze seems to be getting worse and worse over the past few days. I saw some people smoking on the streets while I was going to take the MRT to go to my bf's place and this thought comes to mind... "Why are people still smoking now when they are already breathing in so much smoke fr the air? Ain there enough smoke in the air already? And yet they are still contributing some more into the air...

To the smokers in Singapore: Please try to smoke less... There's enough smoke in the air liao that you dun have to help to contribute more to...

Wedding Dinner Part 2

I attended my colleague's wedding dinner last nite. The food there was not bad but I think my colleague has some complains about their service and the speed of refilling of the glasses. I have no complains about the speed of refilling the glasses cos the service is definitely better than at my cousin's wedding. :P

I left my colleague's wedding dinner even before the dessert was served. To think there is still the wedding cake after the yam paste... I will love to stay throughout the whole dinner not only because of the food but also because I know how much effort she spent to plan the whole wedding. I was there when she called up all the hotels and club houses in Singapore to see if there's any available for her to hold her wedding dinner. I was there to see her planned all her wedding details. It was then I realised that getting married is such a troublesome affair and not to mention holding the wedding dinner. I even told my boyfriend that if we ever get married, I don't wan to hold a wedding dinner cos it is SO ma fan... :P

Anyway, I decided to leave the wedding dinner early because my other colleagues was all leaving. If I don't leave with them, I will be the only one left which makes it so weird. So in the end I decided to ciao with them lor... So sad... They were saying that it was quite late and we still need to work the next day so they decided to leave at 10+. Singaporeans are always like this during a wedding dinner. The wedding invitation already stated that the dinner will start at 7pm but yet they will slowly start strolling in at close to 8pm. Some of my colleagues even dare say that they are fashionably late. Who are they to blame for the dinner to end late? You come late of cos the dinner had to start late. If everyone is on time and the dinner starts early, will you still complain that the dinner ends late so you have to leave early?
If ever I really hold a wedding dinner one day, my friends better make sure they are on time....

08 October, 2006

Wedding Dinner Part 1

I attended my cousin's wedding dinner last nite. I think they invited too many people cos he actually asked for 41 tables. In the end, he needed 47 tables in order to seat all the guests... Think it was quite pai seh for him to make the guests wait while the people in the hotel help to set up the tables last min.

I saw my nephew whom I last saw when he was still a month old. He's already 2+ yrs old this year and is very heavy... I carried him for a while and asked his dad to take him back cos he's too heavy for me to carry for long. I told my brother they all that he's heavier than a sack of rice and I was right... His dad later told us that little Travis weighs 16kg... 16kg for a 2+yr old kid is really heavy leh...

His wedding dinner is still quite ok lah... As in quite normal like how everyone hold theirs. They had their solemnisation just before the wedding dinner but I dun think a lot of people attended it. My brother, his gf and me actually wanted to attend it but as we were slightly late and did not want to barge in halfway, so we went to a cafe downstairs to grab a light bite before the dinner.

The only thing I dun like about the wedding was the choice of songs played during the wedding dinner... I am not very sure who chose the song, as in the hotel or my cousin and his wife, but I can't really accept their choice lor... Please lah... They are playing songs like Tears in Heaven and 25 mins!!! Tears in Heaven is already bad enuff lah... but 25 mins~! Who are they trying to hint? :P So next time, if ever anyone who reads this blog is planning to get married, remember to choose ur wedding songs properly hor. Dun choose the song just because it is nice. Make sure the song is appropriate for the occasion also...

Here's an extract of the song 25 mins in case someone dun understand why I say 25 mins should be played in a wedding:

25 mins By Michael Learns to Rock

I find her standing in front of the church
The only place in town where I didn't search
She look so happy in her wedding dress
But she's crying while she's saying this

Boy I miss your kisses
All the time but this is
25 mins too late
Though you travelled so far
Boy I'm sorry you are
25 mins too late

Funny rite? Why anyone will choose to play this song in a wedding dinner?

Welcome to Hazy Singapore...

Wah... I think the haze is getting from bad to worse over the past few days... I keep having the feeling that I'm in Genting whenever I look out of my office window... I also keep wondering whether somewhere is having a fire cos of the 'chao da' smell in the air... Quite jialat leh... The PSI level even hit an all time high of 130 yesterday... Wonder how Indonesia is like when Singapore is already so jialat...

Life after finishing my studies...

Hee... I'm sort of enjoying nua-ing around now that I finished my advance diploma. Missed this feeling so much... hee... Dun think I will be studying for some time ba... cos of the $ factor... Try to save up some $$ first before I continue with my studies... in the meantime, I will jus continue nua-ing around... Hee...

20 September, 2006

Finish my Advance Diploma lor~!

Tonite marks the last day of my Advance Diploma of Strategic Marketing. Yippee~! I dun need to study anymore loh~! Hee... Actually the last day of my lesson is supposed to be on this coming friday but as my whole class managed to complete our presentation for the project today so this means we dun have to go back to school to attend lessons on friday anymore. Hee...

It feels good to finally finish my course after a period of almost 1.5 years... Hee... My classmates are already planning ahead on what they are intending to do after this advance diploma. Some of them have already started on a full time degree in SIM, while others are planning to enroll for the next intake. There are some who are planning to take a break from studies first before continuing. I heard from one of them that he will be going back to HK to help his dad do business. Some are also in midst of changing or finding a new job.

As for me, I think I will take a break from studies first before I decide on what I want to do. I am still thinking if I should take up a degree on Chemistry or a degree in marketing. I need to give more thought into this especially after my talk with my manager during my appraisal. Maybe I will go find a part time job to do after my work... Hee... See how lah... Relax a bit first lah.... :D

Annual Price Hike is back again...

The annual public transport price hike is back again~! Heard that this time there will be an increase of 1 to 3 cents per trip depending on the no. of fare stages u take. The more the fare stages, the higher the increase of the prices. Think nx time better go find a job that is within walking distance from my hse. Then can save all the transportation fees liao. Or else at the rate the fares of the public transport fare is increasing, I think I better start going for driving test. Who knows mayb one day driving a car mayb cheaper than taking a bus to n fro work? :P

Taxi fare hike, bus fare hike, mrt fare hike, how come my income no hike? :(

Handle Bar with JR gang...

I met up with the JR gang at Handle Bar for dinner on Wed. Actually it's more of they eat I watch cos I had my dinner while I was waiting for the people in SE service center to revive my W810i.

Handle Bar had some changes like finally having a menu and also an increase in the prices of all the items in the menu.

I showed them the peanut butter chocolate cup that Irene bought for us when she went to US for work and was telling them that it was very nice. Brian saw it and opened it. I was protesting saying that it wasn't meant for him to eat. He ignored my protests and took a bite, stopped, looked at me and asked me what is inside it. I told him peanut butter lor then started pointing at him and asked him to puke it out. I remembered that he was allergic to peanut butter... He then spitted out whatever he had in his mouth. It din strike to me that he should not eat that chocolate cup until he asked me what was inside it. See lah... told him it was not meant for him to eat liao he dun listen. :P

Anyway I had quite some fun with them during the dinner. HJ finally tried the Beer Butt Chicken which took 1 hour to cook. Heard from him that it's not very fantastic. Think the FnC is still better but we noticed that the portion had decrease. So sad... It's no longer the most value for money FnC we know with the increase in the prices and reduction in the portion... :( But I think we will still be back there some day ba...

W810i in hospital

I sent my SE W810i to the hospital barely 2 months I bought it. I was so fed up with it keep hanging... Grr... Finally cannot stand it and decided to send it to the hospital and see if the 'doctors' there can be of any help to cure it's disease... I sent it to the hospital on 31 Aug and collected it back on 5 Sept cos I had lessons on mon so I had no time to collect it.

The lady in the service center told me that they upgraded the software and blah blah blah so it should MINIMISE hanging. Ya rite... It took less than a day before my phone started hanging again. It kept hanging throughout the day that I got so fed up with it and decided to skip my lesson and go down the service center to scold people. To think I only collected my phone the day before. GRRR... Waste my time...

By the time I went down to the service center, I can't even on my phone already. The people in SE service center then offered to try repairing the phone on the spot and ask me to go back half an hour later. Half an hour later my phone is still in ICU. The people there then told me that they will be changing some board inside the phone and ask me to collect my phone the next day. I had no choice but to collect it back the next day.

My phone is working fine now and it BETTER continue working fine now. Wasted so much of my time to go down service and collect... My dad was saying most probably because I keep dropping my phone so that's y now so many problem. But I only dropped the phone once and the impact is nothing compared to what my N6230 had been through~! I think if I wan to get a phone that can withstand all the impact I keep giving to my phone, I better stick to Nokia in the future... But the designs of Nokia phones now are so ugly... hai...

19 August, 2006

Exam's Over~!

Hee... My exams are finally over liao... :D

I only had 2 exam papers this semester cos one of my module is non-examable (not sure how to spell it :P). I think I did fairly well for my Global Marketing paper while I did only an OK for my Strategic Marketing paper. Think most prob I'll only fare a B or a C for both papers. I hope I can fare a B for my Global Marketing after all from what my lecturer says, my group scored the highest marks for our report. Let's just hope I can get a B. :)

17 August, 2006

I hate exams...

I hate exams... Other than having to study for my papers, I always get fat during that time.

Sad to say, I have the habit of munching something while I study. SO, I end up putting on weight while I happily munch away. Be it tibits, biscuits, chocolates, sweets, or maybe some food that McDonald's sells. McDonald's?! How come food in McDonald's you may ask me. Cos I usually go there to study with my classmate. I will get something to eat even if I am not hungry. Just cos I wan to munch on something while I study.

Think I will need to slot some thing to go excercising to get rid of the extra weight I put on while I continue studying and munching away for my paper tomorrow. Time for me to go find something new to munch on now... :P

Rebonding failure...

I went to Bedok again on Saturday... This time is to do rebonding for my hair... My sis gave me this contact where the lady charges reasonable prices for rebonding. Since I think it's time for me to do rebonding for my hair and heard from my sis that her friends says it's not bad, I decided to risk my hair and try out to see how good it is.

The place that my sis recommended me was actually at someone's place. It's those home based salon in a 3 room flat... There are lots of people who go there for to cut, perm, dye or rebond their hair. I was actually quite stunned to see so many people there when I reached that place.

It took me 2 hours of waiting before my turn came and all the while there are still people coming in. My rebonding took another 4 hours and I almost fell asleep if not for the television programme. The 2 ladies are very hospitable, offering food, drinks, sweets and even fruits while I was waiting to finish my whole rebonding process.

Finally my rebonding was done and it LOOKS quite nice. But it only looks lah... I felt some roughness in my hair when I was touching it. It was not smooth like the previous times I did my rebonding in other places. I questioned the lady if she burned my hair but she said that it's cos the cream they applied on my hair was too close to the scalp that's y I can feel some roughness. It should go away after a few washes. I seriously doubt so...

Tried washing my hair and I still can feel the roughness... :( Think my hair is more or less gone liao. Maybe will consider going to Kimage to do touch up for my rebonding and see if they can 'save' that part of my hair... Let's hope so...

Watching movies in Bedok Princess

I took time off on friday to go back to SP to submit the hard cover binded copy of my final year project. As I was still quite early after I submitted my final year project, I decided to head down to Bedok to wait for Benny to finish work.

I managed to reach Bedok at 5 plus but after I finally managed to get Benny on the phone, he told me he can only finish work at 7 plus. Wah... that's like 2 hours of waiting so I decided to go walk walk in Bedok central. In the end I decided to go to Bedok library to wait for him.

After Benny finally finished work, I met him and we had dinner at the hawker center near the bus interchange. Since we had no plans after dinner, we decided to catch a movie in the only cinema in Bedok, Princess as we were too lazy to go town also. I got a surprise when I saw how cheap they are charging for the movie tickets. I do know these kind of old cinema does not charge as much as GV or Cathay for the movie ticket but I din realised that they actually only charge $6 for a movie ticket on friday. That's like $3.50 difference from the usual friday movie ticket wor...

Prices of the movie tickets in Bedok Princess

Princess is those kind of old old cinema where I used to watch movies in when I was young. It has this big big screen with lots of seats in the theatre. Maybe because their seats are not as comfy as those that you find in Cathay cinemas, so in order to attract people to watch movies there, they had to lower their prices. I sort of missed watching movies in these kind of old old cinemas. Maybe because it brings back memeories of my parents bringing my siblings and I to watch a movie in the cinema in AMK. I kind of miss those days... :)

Future plans....

Just finished my presentation for my global marketing proj today. According to the lecturer my group scored the highest for our report but he thinks our presentation is disastrous. No choice lah... He did told us to put in only the main things in the project. However I think my group overdid it by leaving out some of the important points he hoped that we will present. :P Anyway, no matter wat we finally finished my global marketing project. Hope we can score for the project cos I din do very well for his test. :P I still have my flash scene for my Web Based Multimedia that I have yet to touch. Luckily it's only one scene. I think lazy me will start working on it tomorrow nite ba... :P

My manager and I was chit chatting this afternoon while he was inside the lab carrying out some "destructive" work. We always say that he is out to destroy something in the lab whenever he comes in the lab to do some work no matter whether it is some R&D or helping us to solve some problem. I will always ask him "You come in to destroy what thing this time round?" whenever he puts on his lab coat. :P He was asking me what are my future plans after I finished my adv diploma. I had given this some thought before but I really have no idea what to do. I am still more interested in getting a degree in Chemical field but that will require me to study 3 years in NUS or approximately 1.5 yrs in Australia. Other than the $$ factor, my mum is also against me going overseas to study as she always has the opinion that people usually go overseas to study only when they cant get into Sg University. I am not saying that I can get into NUS w my poly results lah, but I jus dun wish to study full time for 3 yrs in Sg. I mean who will 'yang' me while I study? I know I can take up part time work whilst I study but I'm actually kind of tired of studying n working at the same time. I have been studying and working throughout my poly life and working n studying after I graduate. I think working and studying is still the most siong one... :P

Whatever the case, I think I will need to start to give my future study plans some time soon. After all I will be graduating from my adv diploma soon. Wooo... looking forward to 22 September 2006... Cos that will be the last day I have to attend lessons for the course. In the meantime I will need to study hard for the stupid exams that cause me to miss my company's technical team building day... @#$%

L’expresso empoisonné

A point and click game... Can you solve this? ;)

One Rochester

We went to One Rochester to celebrate Celest, Yiqun and JiSim's bdae. Quite a nice place I will say but if anyone if going there, it is best if you go there after you have dinner. This is because the menu there basically serves only light bites or things that wun be able to fill ur stomach. :P They serve mainly alcoholic drinks there which does not taste very fantastic also. I guess people go there for the ambience ba but prices there for the food and drinks are not very cheap wor. One of my friend who ordered a food and a fruit punch have to pay like $38??? Quite ex in my opinion if not for the ambience.

Yiqun and I explored the place after we went to the ladies. I think of the whole place, I prefer the Balcony and the Garden the most. The Balcony looks very cosy and looks good enuff for a small group of people. The Garden is very nice also... Think it is best if you call to reserve a place if you are going there.

We bought a Fossil watch for Jisim from the Fossil boutique in Hereens that I liked a lot... According to the sales girl in the boutique, she said they only brought in 2 of that piece of watch and we happened to buy the last piece. So sad... I dun mind getting it for myself... But then again, the watch dun really look nice on my wrist cos it looks rather big there. Never mind... I shall try hunting for another watch for myself... :)

The Fossil watch we bought for JiSim

Taxi fare hike

Been thinking abt the taxi fare hike recently. They say they increased the taxi fares so that the taxi drivers can earn more. I'm not so sure that taxi drivers are earning more after the taxi fare hike. At least I wun be seeing this unusual scene that I never see before the taxi fare hike if they are really earning more...

Never ending projects...

Have not been updating my blog for a very very long time because I have been very busy for the past one month with my final year project and my projects for my other modules. It's been a tough 1 month struggling to complete all my projects. I have just managed to finish my final year proj a few weeks ago and my Global marketing the project just now. Finally can a break... Phew~! Sad to say though... I still have to study for my test tomorrow which will takes up 30% of my total module grade. :( No matter what, I am still happy to finish up most of my projects liao. There's still one web based multimeadia project for me to finish up wor... Luckily my classmate already finish up most of what we should do liao. :D

Will be updating some thoughts I have for the past few weeks as soon as I have the time to sit down and blog... :P

Gathering with JR gang

I met up w some pp of the JR gang to go Boat Quay TCC to nua... Very nice nua-ing session... hee... too bad no bean bag for me to nua in or I bet I will fall asleep there... :P there's these 2 very cute little boys in the TCC. One of them was sleeping in a very angelic way. The other was out for destruction. Such a big contrast. hee... The younger one who looks like he's around 2 yrs old, was roaming around TCC like nobody's business and even walk into the bar counter. lol... So funny. :P He even threw all the sugar packs on the floor just before he left TCC together with his parents. hee...

After TCC, we went down to Bugis for dinner. I did not eat anything as I told mum I'll be home for the wanton soup she cooked. :P Anyway I wasn't hungry also. :) We shopped around in bugis for a while before heading down to Suntec. Brian was looking for a pair of shorts. He took a liking to a pair of white Adidas shorts which costs like $42?! I think the price is crazy and is defintely not worth it esp when he wants it cos of the strips there that wun make it look so plain. I told him to give me the $$ and I'll help him sew the 3 strips there. :P Adidas Suntec is definitely in the mood of World Cup. They made a pair of shoes for all the countries participating in the World Cup and divided them into the different groups they are in. The best part is, they even add in the scores of all the matches the teams have played. I think it's quite a nice touch. :) My company also has a score chart in the pantry that keeps track of all the matches and every morning either Anne or me will update the scores of the matches played the previous day. I think World Cup fever hit my company liao... :P

World Cup in Adidas

We parted our ways shortly after that cos I was a little tired and I could see that someone was thinking of meeting someone else if we leave early. Since he seems like he wants to meet that person so much then we go home better lah. Anyway there's no activites that we can do also. :P

Sick

Dun really remember when was the last time I fell sick... I was on mc today cos of fever, sore throat and heavy flu... Think the combination of prata n durian in a nite is too much for me to take... I knew I will fall sick after I got sore throat yesterday... bo bian lah... I always seems to get fever once I get a sore throat.

I cant seem to be able to sleep properly whenever I have heavy flu so since I was up 3am in the morning, I decided to accompany dad to watch World Cup. I think this morning World Cup (Germany vs Poland) must be the first real match that I watched ever since World Cup started but I went back to bed during half time. hee... Anyway I can watch World Cup matches everyday since my house subscribed to the channels. Most of the time I'm just too lazy to just sit in front of the tv watching soccer. Quite a waste of time to me and I think I have better things to do(like real). :P

I think staying at home the whole day is really boring... wonder how come so people enjoys staying at home so much... sian... there's nothing for me to do at home at all lor... :( want to surf net also cannot due to my lousy internet connection... grrr...

I think I will get back to my nua-ing session in my bed liao... will update my blog sometime again soon... Maybe I will post some pictures up if I get to meet the JR gang this Sat... :)

Time really flies...

I was looking at the time just the other day and was thinking how time really flies... Everything that had happened in my life seems just like yesterday but when u think about it, it actually happened months or even years ago. Some things that I thought about...
1. I actually graduated from my diploma course slightly more than 2 years ago.
2. I have been working in my current company for 2 years liao. (I found my job within 1/2 after my exams and have been working every since. Should have enjoyed myself a little more first before i started working... so sad... :P
3. Kuku me have been studying my advance diploma for slightly more than a year liao and up till today I still wonder what makes me decide to go back to school. :P
So many things had happen in the past 2 years of my life after I graduated from SP. Sometimes I wonder what will be my life be like if I din do certain things? Maybe I will regret not doing what I did. Maybe I will still choose to do the same thing again.
Whatever it is, I will just be contended with the decisions that I had made. No regrets... after all it's what I have chosen...

Final Year Project

I am going to graduate in this coming September liao wor... It seems like a long time since I started studying my advance diploma but yet it has only been a year...

My fyp is supposed to be due anytime soon but my group and I are still stuck w the project. I still cant find my selling point to encourage people to take up my hotel rooms~! this time chem liao lah... anyone who's a marketing guru who's willing to help me?

Language of Love

I did a test someone posted in the forum... here's my results....

The Five Love Languages

My primary love language is probably
Physical Touch
with a secondary love language being
Quality Time.

Complete set of results

Physical Touch: 10
Quality Time: 9
Acts of Service: 6
Words of Affirmation: 3
Receiving Gifts: 2

Information

Unhappiness in relationships, according to Dr. Gary Chapman, is often due to the fact that we speak different love languages. Sometimes we don't understand our partner's requirements, or even our own. We all have a "love tank" that needs to be filled in order for us to express love to others, but there are different means by which our tank can be filled, and there are different ways that we can express love to others.

Random updates of my life...

I have not been updating my blog for quite sometime liao. Hee... no choice lah... I'm quite sick of my internet connection at home that keeps getting me disconnected and thus I dun come online as often as I like anymore. :P So I shall one shot give a bit of updates in my life. :)

Hee... I met up with Fred for dinner the other day. He told me he found the bak chor mee stall that we loved so much. This bak chor mee stall used to operate in the outdoor foodcourt in Marina Square. We had not visited it ever since the foodcourt there was closed down for renovation as we did not know where it shifted to. The place where it had relocated to was actually somewhere where I passed by just a few days before I met up with Fred. I actually did not know it was that stall as I could not remember the stall name. The quene was still as long as it was when it was located in Marina Square. The bak chor mee there was as yummy as ever. Hee.... I really missed it a lot wor... I have never found another bak chor mee like it where they put so much vinegar in it. There's this western food there that was quite yummy also. We ordered this dish called Chicken Kive or something to share because Fred swears by it. It is actually chicken breast meat stuffed with lots of pieces of ham. This dish is definitely worth a try... ;)

Yummy Bak Chor Mee...

Chicken Kive or something...

I went to this place in Suntec City for ramen with Benny. They have really spicy ramen there... So spicy that my face actually turn red from eating it... I feel like I'm a dragon wanting to spit fire after that... Wah... cannot trust their rating for spicyness... I really buay tahan this kind of spicyness... Next time must learn to be more clever liao. Want gay kiang go try spicy food also must start small... start with 2 chilli for wat? I end up eating until so xin ku... if try 1 chilli then I dun think I will end up like this liao... :P

Super spicy ramen

I met up with the JR gang for dinner last thursday to go to Handle Bar to makan. No choice lah.. HJ been complaining that we always never ask him along when we go there. He had yet to have a chance to try the fish and chips there that we had been talking about for so long. lol... As usual, I enjoyed meeting up with them. Sometimes I think it's not about where you go. It's about the company you are with. It's always fun meeting up with them. :) We were chatting when we uncovered someone's secret! That someone was someone who used to belong to the JR gang. This started when Iris told us that she heard that that guy is together with this other girl in the forum. Then giz said "cannot be leh... I just bumped into him on my bdae and he was with this other girl leh. No wonder he pretend he dunno me when he saw me lah... " We concluded that he could be 2-timing the 2 girls as dk and I saw him with the girl whom giz bumped into that day before too... dunno what they saw in him... *shake head* Anyway, a few days later, we found out that that guy and the girl in the forum was no longer together. Lucky her...If not, I will pity her a lot. Because it's already bad enuff that her eyes paste stamp. It's worse being 2-timed by an idiot. :P

dk's dad changed his car to a manual car now. So right now dk is still trying to get used to it. I think the 'new' car cannot tahan the weight of all 5 of us in the car. You can actually feel the difference wor... The way the car moved when all 5 of us r in the car compared to the way the car moved after HJ n giz got off the car is totally different wor... lol... Think our combined weight is too much for the car to handle. lol... Iris was very funny when dk was sending me home. She keep looking up and at us on and off and say "I want to sleep" dk will then tell her "okok you go sleep. I talk to ZZ ok?" then she will nod her head and knock off for sometime before it repeats again. lol... Hee... I managed to find out something about dk on the trip home. lol... Hee... dk... you better treat me good good wor... or else... muhahahaha... :P

I'm finally starting on my FYP liao... sian... dunno head or tail and totally no idea where to start at all. Hai... My groupmates and I are struggling a bit with this project but I think we should be able to manage it ba... Ok lah... time for me to get back to doing my project... I will try to update my blog again sometime soon. :)

Eye check up

For the past few days, I kept feeling that there's something in my right eye that's making it feel uncomfortable. This feeling started something on last wed iirc.

I went to see the doctor nearby my work place after lunch on friday because for some reason or other, my right eye became very red some time after lunch. I was also thinking of seeing a doctor if that uncomfortable feeling dun go away so I dun see any reason for me to delay seeing the doctor about my eye anymore.

The doctor briefly looked at my eye before telling me that she suspected that the uncomfortable feeling I had was most probably due to an eyelash getting into my eye. Somehow I doubt it's the eyelash that caused the trouble. After all the feeling came consistently from the same spot and I doubt the eyelash wun move after me rubbing my eyes so many times lor. She gave me an eye drop for application which after applying, I think is of total no use to me. :P

As the uncomfortable feeling persisted all the way until today, thus I decided to go see an eye specialist today after my work and badminton session with my colleagues. I travelled all the way down to Yishun from Redhill. I managed to reach the clinic only at 8+ which was quite lucky for me as the clinic closes at 9pm. :P

After diagnosing, the doctor said that my eye had an allergy thus causing all the problems. He told me that I had sensitive eyes so I had to try to wear sunglasses whenever I am out in the sun. I also had to clear away whatever stuffed toys I had on my bed. He also gave me a list of food that I should try to take less. My worst fears came true when I saw the list of food I should take less... Cheese, chocolates, ham... and the list goes on.... Almost all my favorite food (Cheese, chocolates) appeared on the list... How can I live my life without chocolates~! I can only comfort myself telling myself that he only said to consume less of them and not ban from consuming them... :'(

Ta da... Let's welcome my new wardrobe...

For years the wardrobe that my sis and I are sharing has been bursting from all the clothes that my sister and I had. I dun exactly remember when it started, but somehow the collection of clothes in my wardrobe started expanding. Maybe it's because my sis started work so she had to start buying clothes to wear to her office. Or maybe I have started have the habit of shopping for clothes every now and then. Whatever the reason is, my parents finally decided that it is finally time for us to stop torturing the poor wardrobe and get one more wardrobe so that we have more room for our clothes collection to expand.

As the room that my sis and I are sharing is too small to put in another wardrobe, my parents decided that one of us have to give up our bed and sleep on the mattress so that there will be enuff space for the new wardrobe to live in. I ended up being the one sacrificing my bed and have to 'prepare' a bed for sleep every nite. Actually I can choose to sleep in my brother's bed since he works nite shift but I think I will still prefer to sleep in my own room. :P

They tore down my bed on Fri nite as the wardrobe is coming in on Sat morning. The wardrobe arrived at my house at around 10 am. After discussing, we decided that I shall be the one using the new wardrobe. I happily transferred all the clothes I have in my old wardrobe to the new one which did not even take up half of the wardrobe. I am finally relieved from having to squeeze my clothes into the wardrobe... It is definitely no easy task to try squeezing clothes into a wardrobe that is bursting with clothes wor...

After transferring all the clothes in, I looked at the old wardrobe and told my sis, "Sis, I think I take out my clothes like never take out like that." The old wardrobe is still bursting with clothes even after I took out all my clothes. I always knew that at least 70% of the clothes in the wardrobe belongs to her but looks like I have underestimate her. I think 90% of the clothes in the wardrobe belongs to her instead. She could not believe that I had already taken out all my clothes from the old wardrobe. The wardrobe looks as full as before I took out my clothes. I din even realised that I actually only have so few clothes. :P Think I have more excuses to go shopping in the future. :P

As fr my sis, I think it's time for her to do another spring cleaning or else, cut down on her shopping or I doubt the wardrobe will be big enuff for her no matter how big it is... :P

Trip to JB

I made a trip to JB with Benny today as he wanted to make his contact lenses. We had heard how cheap it is to make glasses and contact lenses over there. Since he needed a new pair so we decided to go over there and see if it's really as cheap as what everyone says...

We met up with Yiqun and WenShi outside City Square since they are back to JB for the weekend. Anyway it will be good for them to be around since they will be able to bring us around. After all this was like only the 3rd trip I made to JB lor or rather more like the 2nd trip I made and the 1st time I went there I just followed my friend all the way lor... :P

Since it was already around 11+ when we reached JB, we decided to head off for lunch before the hunt for the contact lenses. :P Wenshi brought us to a place for bak gu teh. Very yummy...

After lunch we headed out to Pelangi where they are supposed to have quite cheap contact lenses. Somehow or other, we din find the prices of the contact lenses very cheap. So disappointing.... After shopping around for a while, we went to kopibean to rest our feets and chit chat for a while before heading down to City Square.

We continued hunting around for Benny's contact lenses while shopping at the same time. Yiqun left us earlier to go home. We had our dinner at the Marry Brown in City Square. I quite like the deco there... Quite nice...

I think the food there is like a mixture of KFC, A&W and Malay food. Why? Because Benny ordered their Nasi Lemak and Curly Fries

while I ordered their....

Kid's Meal~! :P I wasn't feeling particular hungry then but I wanted to try out their chicken to see which is nicer, KFC or Marry Brown. So I took the kid's meal since it comes with one piece chicken. :P

I find their chicken not much different from KFC but the nasi lemak rice is very nice~! Their curly fries reminded me of the curly fries from A&W that I missed so much... :'(

Benny finally settled on a brand of contact lenses and we left shortly after that as we did not want to be caught in a jam. I ended up buying 2 tops and a pair of shoes even though I din have any intention to go shopping. :P

The way back was quite bad as there were a lot of people everywhere. Luckily we were not caught in the jam and managed to return to Singapore quite fast. The only delay was probably only at the Customs as there were so many people around everywhere. I am definitely glad to be back home... :P

Taiwan Delights

I was out with Benny and his friends yesterday. We went over to this place call Taiwn Delights which is located somewhere in Katong.

The menu at Taiwan Delights

The food there quite ok lah but not very fantastic also... I tried the Smelly Tofu there.... :P Their smelly tofu is not very smelly also. Still quite ok. At least I think the smell of the Smelly Tofu at the pasar malam in Jurong East there sure beats it. I think their Yan Su Ji taste quite good. Their Hei Zhua Nai Cha also very nice... ^^

After dinner we went over to the Settlers Cafe in Katong. We actually wanted to go to the Board Game Paradise in Marine Parade but too bad it closed down. Heard its very nice wor...

Anyway we took the standard package and played 2 hours of games there. We played Modern Art, Giza and Take 6. The games are still quite ok lah. Had quite a fun time there. Maybe we can go there another time and take the seats upstairs. :P

Hike at Khatib Busong

I joined my poly lecturer, his friends and some of his students for a hike at Khatib Busong on 19 March. It's been quite a while since we went for a hike together. We used to go hiking almost once every 2 weeks to some ulu ulu place just to c if there's anything interesting. That was before his wife got pregnant and gave birth to his daughter. Now we just go hiking together once in a blue moon... :P

Anyway we met up at 9 in the morning and set off for our hike. There's not much to see this time round, but we came upon this fish farm inside the forest. There were quite many people fishing there wor...

We came upon this group of people who look like they are foreign workers while we were hiking. I'm still wondering till this day whether they are illegal immigrants because I dun think you will find anyone who likes to gather together in the forest rite? I thot they usually gather in orchard behind the Orhcard Mrt where you can find many Filipino too? They even sai xian yu (salted fish) there wor... That was the first time I see people do that wor...

I'm looking forward to the next hike... Dunno when will it be...

Recent updates in my life...

It's been ard 2 weeks plus since I last update this blog. Hee... how come it took my so long to update? Cos I'm recently hooked to this Japanese Drama called H2 that Fred passed to me. Very nice... ^o^ Hee... so I end up watching one episode on my pc every night and after which I will go straight off to bed so I'm left with no time to come online. :P I have just started watching a new Jap Drama that Fred passed to me. Quite nice also but I have only watched 3 episodes so far... Will try to finish it soon... :P

Been quite busy working my project also. My group mates and I are most probably the only group that start working on our project only two weeks before the project is due for submittion. :P Still a bit more to complete after which we will be working on our presentation. This presentation will have a 30 percent on my grade for this module. So must work hard wor...

I got my results for my last semester liao... Not very great results consisting of Bs and Cs. But I think I'm quite satisfied with it liao considering the fact that I didn't get any Ds. :P But I was hoping that I can get a A for my Mangerial Finance but I got a B+ instead. Never mind.... I shall try harder for my other modules. :)

Ok lah... That's about all that I have for my recent updates. Will update on interesting food or places that I have eaten or been to recently later when I have time. ^o^

Where has all my time gone to?

I have been feeling kinda busy nowadays. "Been feeling" seems weird rite? Cos it's either you are busy or you are not. But believe me, I keep having the feeling that I am busy but yet I dun really seem so. This leaves me still wondering if I really am busy or not. *confused*

I am supposed to have a lot of time on my hands especially after my exams when my vacation module just started. Somehow, for some reason, I dun seem to have enuff personal time for myself. I dun even seem to be able to come online anymore either. Today is probably the first time in many days when I have the time to blog. Maybe I have time lah. Just that I seem to be feeling tired recently and went to bed slightly earlier than last time. I'm still trying to decide if it's good or bad. :P But I guess this is probably the main reason why I feel that I am busy when I'm actually not. Because coming online is one of the time I really relax at home ba... At least I can chat with my friends when I'm online...

For most people, the time after their exams are probably the best time. After all it's normally the school holidays after the exams. For me it's kinda different especially when I am taking the advance diploma course.

The time after exams is probably the worst time for me because I will be busy for my vacation module. Nothing much has change cos I will still hav lessons every Mon, Wed and Fri. The difference is probably only having to see the same lecturer and taking lessons for the same module every alternate days. The biggest difference is that I have my CA1 2 weeks after my lessons starts and I have to submit my assignment within 3 to 4 weeks after the module starts. That leaves me with almost no time to do anything else. So sianzzz.... *I bet Fred will wonder again why I seems to be always complaining nowadays...*

I absolutely dun have the mood to go for lessons nowadays. Dunno why also. Skipped quite a few lessons liao. For example today, I went to Isetan with my colleagues for shopping instead of going for my lessons. :P But sad to say there isn't anything to buy... :'( Sian... I want buy bag, shoes, clothes... hai...

Think it's time for me to buck up and go for my lessons especially when I still have my FYP to work on too.... *Starts to psycho myself no more skipping of lessons*

Dinner at Wasabi Tei

Benny brought me to Wasabi Tei for dinner sometime last week. It is a japanese restaurant located in a ulu corner in Far East Plaza.

I quite like that place. It is kind of like those sushi counter in those Japanese show where you sit around the counter while the chef cook for you. Actually he normally cooks in the small kitchen at the back but he makes the sushi at the counter.

I guess I like it mainly because it's quite different from those usual Japanese restaurants you find everywhere. It's more home style ba... One thing about the place is that you cannot be too particular about service. This is because the chef actually has a bit of attitude, but the good food that comes with a cheap price tag there is worth it ba. :P

The yummy food I had in Wasabi Tei...

Exams are finally over liao~!

Yippie~! My exams are finally over liao...~! hee... Today's paper confirm die.... But I think shld be able to pass ba... After all onli need to score 28 marks to pass unlike some of my classmates who needs at least 50 marks to pass... Heng my group score high high for our project... Phew~! Din waste all the time and effort we put into the project... :D

We went to West Coast there to mum mum after our papers. After dinner, we went over to West Coast Recreation Centre to play pool. Long long time never play pool liao... Super rusty liao... Even though I never was any good in playing pool... :P

Exams may be over for now but my school is not... I will start my vacation module on coming Monday... My vacation module will be super rush and not to forget that I still have my FYP to do also... When can I take a break from school...

23 February, 2006

Pig out session at Fisherman's Wharf and The Cheesecake Cafe...

Met up with Darryl for dinner just now after my Managerial Finance paper... The paper today was still quite ok. Made some mistakes but should still be able to get a B ba... At least I have more confidence in this paper than the coming friday one... I am definitely looking forward to friday when I will finish my exams...

Anyway Daryl and I went to the Fisherman's Wharf for Fish and Chips. We went there cos he read from someone's blog that the FnC there is so called the best that the person ever tasted before... After trying my Snow Fish FnC and Darryl's American Catfish FnC, both of us still think Handle Bar's FnC is still the best... I think of Handle Bar's FnC I can only think of yummy... :P My Snow Fish FnC is ok.... I just dun like the "xin wei" it has... Maybe it's been in the fridge for too long ba... I wun b surprised too. Cos there are really very few people eating there. That shop is soooo quiet... They dun even play any music there. Feels so weird like we are in a library and will be chased out if we speak too loudly... Another surprising thing about that place is that it only accepts cash... Dunno why but I'm still kind of surprised by that.
American Catfish FnC and Snow Fish FnC
After dinner, we went over to The Cheesecake Cafe. Darryl been craving for his Peach and Jelly Cheesecake since Jan... So he dragged me there to satisfy his craving for his fav cheesecake cos he's still not fully after the FnC... I was already full from what I ate the whole day but still I went over with him and ordered my usual Rum and Raisin Cheesecake. Bo bian... I can never resist the Rum and Raisin Cheesecake from there... :P
Rum and Raisin Cheesecake, Peach and Jelly Cheesecake, Hot Mocha and Ice Chocolate Float
Verdict for the day: Handle Bar's FnC is still the best so far and so is the Rum and Raisin Cheesecake from The Cheesecake Cafe... :P

Exams are spoiling my dieting plans...

Exams is always the time when I pig out errmmm... I mean eat the most... Bo bian lah... Who ask me to be a strong believer of the "no food no brain" theory... Study must eat... or else nothing will gets into my head cos "No food no brain" mah... :P So the end result is... My dieting plans are gone liao... I think I have gained back all the weight that I had lost recently. Dun need to consider the past few days... Today will be enuff for me to put on all the weight liao... Let's see what I ate today...

1. Oatmeal for Breakfast
2. Lunch at Home
3. Tibits that I munch on while studying...
4. Coke and Fries in SP while studying
5. Snow Fish Fish and Chips at Fisherman's Wharf
6. Rum and Raisin Cheesecake + Mocha at The Cheesecake Cafe

Result: I am so full now that I can't even sleep...

Grrr... Next time I must keep reminding myself to keep a lookout on what I eat and not be tempted by the food in front of me. Especially when I seldom exercise at all... Last time still got go hiking so still not so bad. Or else I also used to play badminton or go "swimming" with my classmates. But now so long never go liao... errmmm... better cut down on my snacking... Or... maybe it's time for me to pick up a sport liao...

20 February, 2006

Sleepless at 3am in the morning...

Chiam arh.. This time really chiam liao... For some reason I just cant get to sleep... I am supposed to be up studying but I can't get whatever is in the notes to go into my head so I decided to go koon instead of wasting my time trying... But why am I still awake now??? Grrr... I just can't seem to go to sleep... So instead of sleeping I decided to blog cos I really have nothing else to do liao... Grr...

I'll be having my exams on mon (that is also today), wed and fri... I hope exams will come and go asap... Dun kill too much of whatever is left of my brain cells... Whatever it is, the papers better dun b too tough too... I just heard from Angela that CA1 for my vacation module will be like... 2 weeks after this exams? That like... super rush lor... SP just wun let us off rite? Do they need to pack the schedule until so tight??? Think this is the main disadvantage of a 1.5 yrs Adv Diploma course compared to a 2 yrs Adv Diploma course. I seriously wonder if there's any brain cells left in me for anyone to kill after I finish this Adv Diploma...

*Starts to daydream the day when I finish this course* I can see myself going overseas for a hoilday and enjoying myself with no worries that I have an assignment to rush or exams to study... I can see myself rotting in front of the tv after work when I have no school on every mon, wed and fri... Tv seem so foreign to me ever since I pick up my books again... It's only something that I can find time for every Sun from 12 to 3pm cos I'll be watching my CSI... ^_^ Maybe I will try to pick up on yoga or something after I finish this course, or even cooking or baking....? Somehow I doubt mum will dare to let me cook at home in case I burn down her kitchen... :P

*Snap out from my daydreams* Ok lah... Time to get back to the reality... I still have exams later so must try to go back to bed no matter what... In the meantime I can only look forward to the supper sessions I'll be having after my papers tomorrow and wed... :P
*Starts to wonder how am I going to lose weight with all the supper and the food I eat while studying...*

Places to chill out...

Sometimes I think I will love to go to a place, order a drink together with some light bites and just rot there for the whole day. It is even better if I have a book along with me. I think I can spend the whole day at that place and just read.

But sad to say, in Singapore there are not many places like this where I can chill out at. Maybe there are but I dunno their existence. So far I have only come across 3 places that I personally think I will do thatat... Think I shall list down some of the few nice chill out places that I found so far...

The Cheesecake Cafe
This place has quite a nice ambience. They serves very nice cheesecakes too which I bet is why they are named Cheesecake Cafe. I personally love their Rum and Raisin Cheesecake... Yum yum... DK was just complaining to me that we haben been there ever since Nov and he has been craving to go there ever since Jan... :P

Boat Quay TCC
This place has all the bean bags that you want. You can sit on the floor or on one of the many cushions there or if you are lucky, grab one of the many bean bags available there and sit on it... It's great going with a group of friends or even alone with a book. :)

Starbucks
There's this new Starbucks in Suntec... So far I have been there only once. Think it's quite nice. The best thing about that place is that there are very few people. Maybe because it's located in a quite ulu place where very few people pass by so not many people knows about this place.

The more I think about it, the more I starting to miss going there liao... Think find one weekend must go over to either one of these places to nua through the whole day... :P

Exams...

Grrr... it's the time of the year again when I'll b having my exams... wah... super sad now... y do I have to have exams??? How good will it be if there's no exams???

I let my manager signed my leave card yesterday... wah... super saddening to c my leave left with only 8.5 days of leave now... I took 5 days leave t one shot just for my stupid exams... So I better dun waste my leave and better do well in my exams... otherwise what a waste my leave will be... But I got a feeling I'll do my usual stunt every exams... study last min... :P

Actually I almost forgot that I'll be on one week leave the whole of nx week leh... I was typing the minutes after the meeting and training today cos there was nothing much I can do until we finish work. It was just before I leave for school when I remembered that I wun be back in office until 27th Feb... Heng I typed out and send the minutes out to everyone liao... Phew~! Anne thot I remembered until I told her that I actually forgot about it totally. :P

Let's hope I can sail through my exams smoothly... Hope there wun be any tough papers this sem... :P
