Forgotten Diary....

I was looking through my drawer for a spare notebook for my dad when I spotted this familiar looking book in a corner of my drawer. At first I thought it was one of the many unused notebooks I have lying around in my drawer, until I flipped it open and realised that it was my old diary...

I used to have the habit of writing diary when I was younger because I like to record down things that happened in my life. I know I have a terrible memory so writing diary is perhaps the best way for me to remember things that happened in my life...

I had totally forgot about that diary of mine... As in really forgot that I even have a diary before kind of thing... I decided to read through that diary of mine yesterday. It contained lots of memories of my ex bfs especially one particular one as I was with him when I wrote in that book. It made me remember how things used to be for the both of us even though things have changed so much since then...

I guess keeping diaries does serve a purpose after all. Maybe it's time for me to start writing again... In another book or maybe in another blog... About the things that I am not ready to share with others...

Uploading videos to Blogger

I am glad to know that we can finally upload video directly to Blogger! It used to take me some trouble to upload the video to YouTube then posting it in Blogger. At least now it will save me that step. :)

iSushi

Stumped upon this post in a forum about the sushi from iSushi. Their local flavour sushi looks kind of interesting but I don't think I will ever try them. I think I still prefer the authentic japanese sushi anytime...

Takoyaki

I think most of the people in Singapore would have tried Takoyaki before. It is actually octopus ball in a batter and taste great especially when it is still hot. The more famous shop selling it is most probably Takopachi. Other than octopus balls, they actually have other selections like prawns or bacon and cheese. It is quite weird especially to the Japanese as the word "tako" in takoyaki means octopus.

While my bf and I were in Japan, we went to Kappabashidougugai Dori. It is a street where they sell kitchenware, tables, chairs, basically anything that you will need in your kitchen and also for setting up a restaurant. We bought a takoyaki pan there and tried making our own takoyaki at home.

He found the receipe to make the batter online and tried making it... It is definitely not easy! Being the better cook amongst the two of us, so it's basically he make I look... Hee... Maybe I will try making it myself next time... :D

First failed attempt...

Secind attempt... Looks and taste much better

"Souvenir" from Japan

I brought back along with me a "souvenir" from Japan... Nothing fantastic. In fact, I will be happier without bringing it back with me...

My heat rashes compliments from the very hot weather in Japan

Wah liao... Feeling super itchy now... Grrr...

eejanaika ええじゃないか

We saw this roller coaster ride in Fujikyu Highland, Japan. After trying Dodonpa and Fujiyama, my bf and I decided that we are too chicken to try this ride out. Will you dare to try it?

Humping Dog close up...

This is a USB toy called Humping Dog. I took this video when I was in Akihabara of Tokyo, Japan.

Some pictures from Japan

Rainbow Bridge

Tokyo Disneyland

I wonder why is it called Tokyo Disneyland when it is not located in Tokyo.

Fujiyama in Fuji-Q Highlands

It was once the world's tallest roller coaster. The ride up there is scary even though I don't mind going up there again.

Yokohama Bay Bridge

We took this picture on top of Landmark Tower which is the tallest building in Japan.

We bought this Takoyaki in Ikebukuro of Tokyo, Japan. Its diameter is almost as long as Japan's Suica which is something like Singapore's ezlink card.

I'm back from Japan!

Ohaiyo~! I came back to Singapore this evening... Even though I am sad to leave Japan and need to go back to work again on Monday, I am still happy to be back in Singapore because of the weather! If you think Singapore is hot, try visiting Japan now... I think the weather in Japan is really terrible... It's so super duper hot over there now that a fan and a towel became my best companion alongside with my bf. These two things practically save me throughout my trip in Japan.

I got the fan free from the streets and bought the face towel from Disneyland. It's so hot in Japan that I perspire once I step out into the streets in Japan. I can finally understand why is it that most Japanese will have a towel or handkerchief with them whenever they go out. It's because tissue paper are just not enough to wipe off all the perspiration that keep coming...!

I know why most Japanese are skinny liao... I was in Japan for 8D7N and the thing I noticed is that most of the are skinny.... Both men and women.... I think I know why liao... It must be because there are so few escalators available everywhere compared to Singapore. I can't remember when was the last time that I need to climb the stairs up and down to change train or go from one place to another. Japan really makes me climb the stairs. Some of their escalators actually starts "working" only after 7am. Imagine my horror when I need to carry my 20kg luggage up the stairs... I managed to lug it up a few steps but my bf had to "save" me in the end. With that amount of exercise they do, it's no wonder that they are so skinny...

I shall update on my trip after I sort out all my photos...

Packing my luggage...

Hee... I have been looking forward to travel again after my last trip to Thailand two years ago... Now I am going to do that! I'm happily packing my luggage now because I am on leave today... I will be leaving tomorrow morning for... Tokyo! :D I will be bringing my laptop along with me so I will update about my trip when I am in Japan if I get the chance... :D

Modem up in the heaven!

My modem which is usually on 24/7 finally decided to give up on us and go to heaven... I think it finally can't take the abuse it had been tolerating from us so it chose to break down on Wednesday...

The day when it died on us was terrible... My sister, dad and me were staring at it, trying to switch it on again and again hoping that it was playing a prank on us. We tried to revive it but in vain. It was finally pronounced dead after I checked on it for many times.

Life without internet around the house is soooo... boring... I was at lost about what to do at home... It also made me realise how internet or rather technology-dependant I had become over the years. Luckily my brother got home from Phuket today and he fixed a new modem so I can finally come online again! Yippee... :D
