I left my house slightly later than I was supposed to this morning. I decided to walk to the MRT as I knew I may still have a chance of catching the MRT at the usual timing if I walked a bit faster. I finally managed to reach the MRT station in time to see that the train will take 3 more minutes to come. I felt something was amiss there as from what I had gauged, no matter how fast I had walked, the MRT should take at most 1 min to come. I waited for the MRT to come on the platform and for some reason, the 3 mins never seem to change. It was just... stuck at 3 minutes. It took quite sometime before the annoucement came saying that the train was delayed due to a train fault. That was when I knew I will confirm miss the 8.10am shuttle bus to my company.
I reached Queenstown MRT station only at 8.30am and I was not even sure if there will be any more shuttle bus to my company. So I decided to take a cab to my office. I was waiting for the cab at Queenstown MRT and for some reason, people keep snatching the empty cabs that are meant for me. They can appear out of nowhere and the cabs will just pick them up. By the time there was finally a cab that no one is planning to snatch from me, I saw the shuttle bus that goes to my company. So I decided to just take the shuttle bus and save my $10. Even though my office is not really very far from Queenstown MRT, the cab ride plus surcharge and all adds up to $8 - $10. Ok lah... save my money...
For the first time I want to say thanks to the cab snatchers! Otherwise, most of the time I will be cursing and swearing at them... :P
