We spent the whole day at the World Expo. The weather today is TOO hot! Can you imagine that it actually went up to 39 degree Celsius???!!! I, for one, seldom put sunblock on myself. I think this is probably the first time in my life where I actually religiously slap sunblock onto my body just to protect myself from the vicious sun. I wore a hat to the Expo hoping to block out some sun but apparently that is not enough. In the end, I had to go and buy an umbrella to save myself.
World Expo is very interesting. There's a lot of things to see. We did not go to all the Country Pavilions. Instead, we went to the smaller pavilions where there are less people. We walked quite alot. Totally 累垮了!
We managed to visit Singapore Pavilion. I guess the only reason why we visited Singapore Pavilion was probably because we do not have to queue as we are Singaporeans. They allow Singaporeans to enter the Pavilion without queuing as long as you show them your NRIC or passport. :P Singapore Pavilion is not very interesting but it is still nice to be able to visit your home country's Pavilion.
Singapore Pavilion
I retreated at 7.30pm after we visited Singapore Pavilion. Left YT & XZ at the World Expo. I still need to work on my individual assignment later. Sian!!!

I took the chance to visit these places 2 years back when I was in Shanghai for training.
I didn't know that Yuyuan is open at night too! I will try going there at night the next time if i have the chance to go back Shanghai. :)
For me, I visited the garden in the late afternoon and hang around YuYuan Market place until 8:00 pm plus. Not so hot and I could stayed after 5:30 pm. So maybe visit in the late afternoon will be better.

The places are big, so you need 1 day to finish it, both for the Shanghai museum and the YuYuan area.
I visited both of them on the weekends, yes, a lot of people.
Of course, there are other places also, like the Nanjing road, The Bund etc but not on the same trip, a different trip, the other one near winter, and it was very cold!
