Tio suan siao...

For some reason, my colleague and I have been feeling that my manager is getting weirder and weirder as the time goes by. We just ignore him because there is nothing much we can do about it also.

Recalling an incident that happened last Friday... I came into office on time on Friday and although he was seated at his desk and I walked passed him while getting some water from the pantry, I did not greet him good morning as he seem occupied with his stuff. His face was also quite "black" so all the more I want to avoid him at all cost. What for find trouble for myself right? He left the office for a meeting with his boss later in the morning so by the time I saw him again, it was already after lunch.

He left 2 ang baos for me on my desk and I went out to look for him to thank him for the ang bao and also to discuss some work with him. Anyway, I ended up tio suan siao by him whereby he implied that I wished him Happy CNY just because of the ang baos. Fine, he can think what he wants. Even though I got suan siaoed by him over that, he was only throwing his own face. The rest of the people in the office came and commented things like "Why is he so petty one?" "Your boss not in good mood today arh? He's very moody leh" over the things that he said to me. I don't even need to go and complain to the people outside about what he suaned me because everyone heard him suan-ed me. I don't think I am at fault for not wishing him a Happy CNY the first thing I come into the office. Nobody says that it is a must for me to wish him a Happy CNY. To think you suaned me about it just because of this? So who's at fault here? Definitely not me. Just too bad for him for throwing his own face...

CNY Day 2

CNY Day 2 is probably one of my favorite CNY day. CNY day 2 is usually the day when I go house visiting at my mother's side. We will park ourselves at my uncle's place and gather to carry out our favourite activity... Gamble! What is CNY minus the gambling session at my uncle's house?

However, this year's CNY is slightly different from all those previous years. There's much less gambling this year when compared to all the previous years because of the no gambling ruling that the aunties had set due to some things that happened just before CNY. Still, we did gamble a little but we really cut it short by alot... Previous years of gambling sees that whole house full of people gambling that there is hardly any space to walk. Unless you want to cut through the gamblers. :P

We also did something that I had never done with my that bunch of cousins before. Gossip. We gathered at my Auntie's place which is just 1 storey up from my uncle's place and gossip about THE family. It is really a wonder how some things turned up this way and made all of us so disappointed with them. I do hope next year's CNY will be better. At least, I guess I don't foresee there will be anything that can shock us anymore. Or rather, I hope...

Not a Great Start to 牛牛 Year...

Wah liao... I didn't expect myself to fall sick on Chinese New Year Eve lor... The worst thing is... I am very sick lor... In fact, I am seldom so sick at all. Whenever I am down with fever, popping a Panadol Extra will cure me within hours. Not this time though. My fever has been coming and going for the past 3 days with me eating 5 Panadol Extras already. That's really a new record for me. My sore throat is still not fully recovered probably because I am coughing so much and hard. I am down with flu too... It's like all my "good friends" are here to visit me all at one go... Faintz...

Too bad I had already taken leave on Wednesday if not I will take mc instead. Ahhh... Waste my leave... :(

Bad Ending to the Mousey Year...

Wah liao... Everything has been quite smooth for me during this Mousey Year... Or so I thought... To think everything come at one go on the last day of the Mousey Year!

I woke up with a sore throat this morning, which has since been coupled with a fever. I broke my bottle of eye gel (岁岁平安!) and overturn my whole loose powder onto the floor (落地开花!) ...

I just hope 牛牛 year will be an even better year for me.

Happy 牛年!

Happy 牛年 everyone! This year's Chinese New Year is sooo early!!! It's only late January and Chinese New Year is coming and going already!

Let's hope everyone will have a good 牛牛年. Huat ah!!!

Half Day

There's something weird with my stomach for the whole night after I took my medication before I slept. I am not sure if it was because I downed the medicine without drinking any water but I just feel that the medicine went to the "wrong" place. It felt stuck in some funny part of my stomach. I woke up quite a number of times throughout the night due to the discomfort. I ended up waking up for work at only at 7.10 this morning. Part of the reason was probably because my hp hanged during the night and since I used it as an alarm clock, it failed to wake me up this morning.

Luckily I still managed to reach the office before 9am. :P I went to the office, my lunch kaki who is also the HR assistant informed me that our MD gave us a half day off! :D So here I am back at home... It's just too bad that I have school later tonight... How I wish there is no school on Fridays.... Sian...

Oh No! They have been Hamster-ised!

I was jalan jalan-ing in this pasar malem in Hougang when I saw that they have this new ermm... activity(?) in the pasar malem. Other pasar malems have games, ferris wheels and etc. This pasar malem is a bit different... They have this activity called 水上步行球.

It seems to be quite popular amongst kids as I see quite many kids playing it. It's not very cheap wor as it cost like $6 or $8 for a child to go into that ball for 5 mins or maybe it's 10 mins I can't really remember. I can't help but feel that the kids have been "hamsterised" when they are playing it. Doesn't this scene looks awfully familiar?

Doesn't it looks like Rhino inside the hamster ball in the animation Bolt.
