Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone~! :D Actually I never really think that Valentine's Day is any big deal. Maybe I am those weird person who never place any importance in this kind of days. To me, Valentine's Day is probably a day where you see more couples on the streets than usual or more ladies holding bouquets of flowers on their hands. Other than that, it is just another day of the life (a day where more guys get ke-tok by the florist). I know I am being super unromantic on a supposely very romantic day... :P

This year's Valentine's Day is probably a little different for me. I got a call at 11.40 from Fred telling me that he's waiting for me downstairs. I was quite surprised and was even more surprised when he appeared in front of me with a bouquet of roses. It was a very big bouquet of roses consisting 99 roses wor... in fact I think it's huge. I have never in my life received such a huge bouquet of flowers before. I guess he probably know that I will be too lazy to bring it home if he passed it to me somewhere else. He knew from the experience I had a few years ago when my classmates gave me a bouquet of flowers for my birthday. :P hee... Thank you so much for the beautiful flowers... :D Really really very touched...

You don't belittle the bouquet of flowers wor.... No matter how big or small the bouquet is, the only way you can hold the flowers is upright or lay it in your arms. Otherwise the water in the bouquet will start to flow out. It can be super tiring wor... Especially if it is a big bouquet... I learned from my experience on my 22nd birthday. :P

Anyway, hope you all will enjoy your Valentine's Day. If you are single and without a date, dun hide in your blanket and cry ok? It's no big deal. Just be thankful you are not one of those poor guys/gals who are outside being ke-tok by the restaurants or florists. :P

Top of the M

I met up with my friend for dinner on Fri after I skipped my lessons halfway. There's just no point staying on cos it's all presentations after all. :P We went down MS for bak gut teh then after going ard a few places, we decided to settle for Top of the M at Meritus Mandarin.


I think the place is pretty ok lah but not as impressive as what I heard it to be. Somehow I think Swissotel The Stamford is nicer. Maybe partly because it is taller. I remember City Space to be quite nice but a bit too quiet the last time I went. Everyone seems to be speaking in whispers. :P New Asia Bar and Grill is too noisy and smelly for my liking...

GX and I tried one of their speciality cocktail that comes in test tubes form. I think it is still quite ok but he thinks it's too bitter. I kept teasing him saying he "ci bu qi ku" :P

I think I will try and explore other places to see if there are nicer places to chill out. :) Hee.... What's life without being able to find a nice place to chill out? ;)

Chipmunk

I went for my super expensive dental appointment on Fri. Somehow I begin to look like a chipmunk (that's what Benny tells me) after that dental app cos of the swollen side of my mouth. It makes my face looks fat... :'( This is what Benny kept telling me yesterday "Quick spit out the walnut that u have in ur mouth~!" Grr... Luckily it's not painful. I can still eat and drink as normal.

Hope thw swell will go away soon. If not I think I will need to make another trip down to the dentist liao... :'(

Sleepless in CNY...

I can't believe this... I am up at 7+ again this morning... Up so early when I can choose to be still sleeping at this time. What happen??? I thot I am a pig who can sleep at practically anywhere anytime?

When I say I can sleep practically anywhere, it's really no joke leh... I will meet up with my sec school friends in AMK once in a while. We like to hang out in the one of the multi-storey carpark in AMK central. There's actually quite many people doing the same thing as us. My friends will like to bring along their guitar or laptops along with them and just play guitar, sing and chit chat. We celebrated a few birthdays up there too. Why bring laptops??? Cos you can actually get network there! Weird place to find network rite? ok back to how pig I can be... I remember there was once I was feeling quite tired (when am I not feeling tired?). Ford they all were playing guitar and singing at the carpark and I being the one who super 没有音乐细胞 (can't play guitar and can't sing), got a bit bored after a while and start to feel sleepy liao. Then I kahpok Ford's guitar bag, lie on top of it and just sleep in the multi storey carpark itself... ya i know I am a pig... Dun need to tell me that... yawn...

okok... I think I shld try and get back to sleep again... Need to try and get rid of my dark eye circles. I think they really look horrible. No amount of concealer seems to be able to cover them. Anyone who knows how to get rid of them are welcome to let me know the solution... Thanks... ;)

Happy Chinese New Year

Happy Chinese New Year to all~! This is the Doggy Year... I am unfortunately 24 this year cos I am born in a Doggy Year too... Sad sad... How I wish I can stay 21 every year... :'(

Anyway I am very bo liao today so went and search the Chinese horoscope to see how the Doggy year will be for everyone...

Hope everyone has a good year ahead. Ang bao get many many~! Dun eat too much heaty stuff but if you do, remember to drink lots of water... and most importantly, strike the 10 million ToTo~! ;)

Some updates in my life...

I think there is something seriously wrong with me... I can't believe that I am actually up at 7 this morning... Normally I will still be sleeping at this time of the day (unless I have to work) as long as I don't have anything on. I tried to go back to bed but for some reason I just cant get back to sleep. Why why why??? Maybe I am losing sleep cos of that pair of shoes that I wanted to get but cant get my size??? :P

I seriously think that I need to cut down on my shopping liao... Been spending too much on clothes and stuff. Think I spent like around $400 on my shopping this month... Must cut down must cut down... Especially when I am finally getting my own laptop... I cant wait for the day to come when my laptop finally arrives... :D

I made an oreo cheesecake just the other day. Quite nice but super fattening... Imagine all the cream cheese, whipping cream, white chocolate and oreo inside it... Nan de I got time and xin qing to make it. The receipe was stuck on my fridge door since the day I got it (which was sometime last sept or oct I think). I purposely took a picture of it while I was eating it and sent it to Fred and dk. Hee... Both of them started cursing me cos they dun get a share... :P

I just discovered that I actually have a two week break after my next vacation module~! That means I'll be free for two weeks from 3rd April to 16 April with no lessons at all~! I missed those days... No need to rush for school after work. No need to rush to do projects... I am definitely looking forward to complete my advance diploma. But no, I am not looking forward to my exams... Dun understand why they need to kill my brain cells with exams... Already dun have much brain cells liao they still want to do that to me... :'(

I went for prata at Casuarina Road with the JR gang on Friday... Very expensive prata for me cos I took a cab down from SP to meet them. Actually dk wanted to pick me up in SP at ard 10pm since he went and picked Iris fr Bt Batok n HJ from NUS but I couldn't finished my project in time. So I told them to go ahead with the "dinner" without me. I gave dk a call after I finished my project at ard 10.30. He told me to come down join them since they just reached there also... So I took cab down lor... Bo bian... promised to join them the day before liao. Especially when I haben seen them all together for quite some time liao. The prata there is still as good as ever. The curry actually tastes better now. They have move a few shops down the row and is nearer to the carpark now. The best thing is there's actually air-con there now~! As usual, I had lots of fun with them. We were all teasing Giz abt the new love in his life and HJ abt how rich is he. :P HJ said that I put on weight again since he last saw me but dk said that I slimmed down liao. Their conclusion to that is that HJ did not see me when I was at my fattest so it looks to him like I put on weight but to dk I look like I have slimmed down. Think I really need to jian fei liao~! okok... Think I really need to work on my new year resolution liao... But how to with all the bak kwa and new year goodies in my hse????

Funeral

We held a 7 day funeral for grandma. This is perhaps the first and only time I see so many of my relatives together. I see all my cousins and aunties at the funeral and lots of distant relatives. Even those whom I never see for a long long time.

I was at the funeral most of the time unless I went home to bath, catch a quick nap and have a change of clothes. I stayed over most of the nights too other than on Thursday as I had to work on Fri. It was very tiring for all of us and very emotionally draining for all the aunties and my mum.

I bet I never see my mum cry so much before. In fact, I dun remember ever seeing her cry at all. She was so sad to about the death of grandma. So is everyone else. Sometimes I will think if it is better for her to go. At least she will no longer suffer from the pain that is constantly torturing her. She can finally rest in peace.

Things will definitely be very different in my maternal side with my grandma gone. The "pillar" of the family is no longer around. I dread to think what will happen to this family. Hope this family will not change...
